Got the Bacon Benny Avocado Toast and the Chipotle Chicken Melt. My partner and I enjoyed our dishes a lot. My bacon was decently crispy, avocado tasted great. The Melt was very savory. For a cafe the food is a five star! As for the atmosphere, the floors, chairs, and some of the tables were dirty and crumby. Maybe the staff is too busy to take care of the mess in the lobby, but still the mess was there. Service was okay! It wasn’t bad. Overall 4 stars:)

Was looking for a nearby brunch spot with my daughter and we saw that this sweet spot had great reviews. Great service as soon as we walked in and throughout. It was hard to select from the yummy options on their menu, so we went for 2 sweet treats and one savory. The banana foster waffle was still nice and crisp on the outside but fluffy as well, highly recommend. We also loved the benedict croissant. I tried the horchata latte because if I see horchata anything on a menu, I’m trying it, and it was lovely! It was getting fairly busy around 9:30 and very busy by the time we left. Would recommend getting there a little early for seating.

This place is amazing. Kent/covington needed a great breakfast spot and this is it. I went a month ago when I needed an attitude adjustment after dropping trash off early in the morning during the garbage pick up strike. It did the trick, I had the best waffles of my life and everything was beautifully presented. I have been back 3 times since with family and friends and happy to wait for a table. But more than a restaurant I appreciate how everyone in Kent is there. It feels like a community place it is warm and welcoming. Well done on the concept and execution.

I’ve been to Sweet Notes Cafe a few times. I really like their matcha latte — it’s one of my favorites! There are usually a lot of people here. The fruit bowls are tasty and fresh, definitely recommend them.
The macarons are okay, but for me, they have too much cream. I used to enjoy their raf coffee, but sadly it’s no longer on the menu. The staff is always friendly and kind.
Tuna toast is delicious, but I didn’t like the waffles — they taste like they were made from store-bought dough, not homemade.
One thing I’d suggest to the owners: please do something about the chairs. They are very dirty and not comfortable to sit on. Other than that, it’s a nice place!

This was my first time coming in. I did feel a little ignored when I walked in as there was no greeting or a “be right with you” but that’s ok as I needed a little time to browse the menu. I waited less 3 minutes and a friendly worker came to take my order. I got the Mexican Mocha and the Lovers Crepes. Waited maybe 10 minutes for the coffee and 15 minutes for my food. I did order to go but waited in their beautiful store and the ambience was amazing. Everything looked VERY clean. When another worker brought me my food she was a little short with me but I’m assuming they were just very busy. My food and coffee was amazing and even though it was “to go” when I opened the box the presentation was on point. I will definitely be coming back for another experience

Was visiting Washington looking for a cute brunch spot. This places seemed to look great based off their website. Food was less than mediocre. My waffles just tasted like eggs and my matcha didn’t taste like there an any match in it. Would not come back.

We came here with our 1-month-old baby and had a very unpleasant experience. While I was waiting in line to order, the cashier rudely told my friend to get up and order first — even though another table of friends sitting there was not told the same thing.
When it was finally my turn to order, the cashier was extremely impatient, repeatedly asking “Anything else? Anything else?” in a very rude tone. Her attitude made us feel very uncomfortable.
Honestly, I don’t even want to talk about whether the food was good or not — just because of this attitude, we don’t want to come back. It really felt like we were treated differently, maybe because we are Asian. Very disappointing experience.

The food was alright but highly overpriced. It really shouldn’t prompt for a tip while paying considering the service is non-existent. You order and pay at the counter prior to receiving the food (fast food style) however the food took extremely long so it can’t even be considered fast food. You get your own cups of water at the counter and fill them yourselves. Most employees looked unhappy and didn’t really seem suited for customer-facing roles. A cute cafe like this should have cheerful and peppy employees which would suit it better.

The drinks were great! I love a nice sweet drink! My hubby got an Oreo strawberry waffle with a salted caramel drink and I got a Nutella waffle with a Tiramisu special iced latte. The food was okay my husband was delicious right consistency everything about it was good mine on the other hand was a bit dry like there was no addition to the Nutella and strawberries that were on it it was just Nutella and strawberries that were on it which is fine. It was just dry there was no syrup or anything to put on it so it was a little bit disappointing in my opinion.
The staff was friendly enough but I don’t think this is actually a place where they are servers, it’s more of a self-serve place after they bring the food out. I’d definitely come back just want to try something different next time. The drinks were super good though .
