Yum of India truly lives up to its name!

We tried the paneer biryani, chicken biryani, rava masala dosa, and chai, and every single item was above expectations. The flavors were authentic, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious. The biryanis were aromatic and rich, the rava masala dosa was crisp and flavorful, and the chai was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.

What really made the experience even better was the very warm and welcoming customer service along with a great ambiance that made us feel comfortable and relaxed.

Overall, it’s a 10/10 experience, and I would highly recommend Yum of India to everyone looking for authentic Indian food and a great dining experience. We’ll definitely be back!

Today we tried out this new place that opened near us. We had lunch at Yum of India. Beautiful atmosphere and great customer service. We love Indian food but we always ordered the usual Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken today we were able to taste some new dishes that we never had before. We ordered the Thali plate that offered a variety of curries, it was so flavorful! They even gave us complimentary dessert and appetizers. The owner was very hospitable and so welcoming. We will absolutely be back with friends and family!

I travel a lot and often write reviews when I get to experience sometimes.

Recently I’ve started visiting new places in particular and trying them out.

I decided to checkout the place because within a few months of starting out, this restaurant received some poor reviews.

So I decided to check it out.

I ordered a take out for a chai, biriyani and samosa.

They ran out of irani chai, so offered masala chai, which was good.

Chicken biryani was very flavourful with chicken being tender and the half boiled egg complimented the biryani.

The quantity was enough for 2 people.

The samosas were really good. The chutney accompanied with the samosas was something I was missing for past couple of years. Im glad I got food from here.

The staff was very kind, informative and helpful.

Ill give the 5th star in 3 months when I confirm the consistency of the restaurant.

New restaurant with great ambience. Will definitely visit again with family.

We had a great experience at Yum Of India – McKinney. The food and service were excellent. We especially loved the Hyderabadi chicken biryani, which tasted very authentic. The Tandoori chicken, Panchimirchi kodi pulaav, and Ghee Roast Goat Fry were all flavorful and well cooked.

The ambience was pleasant, and it was nice that they offer full drinks—we enjoyed a couple of drinks with our meal. Overall, great food, good service, and a comfortable atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

I went to this restaurant multiple times and tried both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, and every visit has been a delight. The Thalapakattu Biryani and Chicken Tandoori are standout non-veg options—rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. Their Naans are very soft and vegetarian dishes are just as impressive, packed with taste and freshness.

The restaurant’s ambiance adds to the experience—warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed meal. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the food arrived hot and beautifully presented. YumofIndia has truly become my go-to spot for authentic Indian cuisine.

The hottest new restaurant in McKinney has to be Yum of India! The food is absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. My top picks were the Thalapakattu Biryani, Chicken 65 and Tandoori Chicken— all were perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. To finish off the meal, the hot fudge brownie with ice cream was outstanding. Highly recommend checking out this spot if you’re in the area!

Hands down the best Indian spot in Frisco. The food is incredible—both the veg and non-veg options were a hit. We hosted a party for 25 people here and the service was top-notch. The owners and staff were super accommodating, even with our last-minute changes, and got all the food out on time.
The setup upstairs is perfect for groups: it’s BYOB, super clean (including the restrooms), and has a great vibe with a dance floor, big screen, and solid sound system.Best items to try are :

1. Mushroom Chili
2. Paneer Tikka
3. Egg Bonda
4. Baby corn Manchurian
5. Madurai Chicken Pakoda
6. chicken Majestic
7. Frawn 65

Highly recommend!

We visited Yum of India and ordered the Talapakattu Jackfruit Biryani and Fish Biryani, and both were absolutely outstanding! The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced. The jackfruit biryani was a unique vegetarian treat with amazing texture and aroma, while the fish biryani was cooked to perfection with fresh, flavorful spices.

Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for delicious, high-quality Indian cuisine. We can’t wait to come back!

Yum of India in McKinney – My New Favorite Indian restaurant and It’s not just their Yum food!

I’ve eaten at a ton of Indian restaurants around here. Seriously, they are everywhere, but this brand new one just hits different.

The food is obviously fantastic (still raving about it in our small gathering), but what really impressed me is the people running the place. They’re some of the nicest folks I’ve ever met in a restaurant. You can tell it’s not just a business for them but they actually care about what they do and make sure you’re happy with everything. That kind of warmth, passion and dedication is rare these days.

The vibe and decor inside is just as good. Chill, classy, cozy, colorful, and full of those little touches that make you want to stay longer than you planned. It’s got 2 floors and is very spacious.

Honestly, with so many Indian spots nearby, I didn’t expect to be this impressed. But Yum of India in McKinney got it’s recipe right – amazingly yummy food, amazing people, and an awesome atmosphere. Looking forward to visiting again.

The used to be good. Today was NOT GREAT.
ordered a family pack every time we would pay $50 but look the price changed and so did th quantity.
They served it with chicken on the top with only rice on the bottom. This is cheating .
You want a happy customer not an upset one with food.
Food is Annapurna you will need to get back if you want to keep the good name you earned. Not go for few dollars!
