Loved everything about this little diner style place. Clean, pleasant atmosphere, good service (by Dave the owner?).
Breakfast was just right and exactly as ordered. Loved the shredded potato crispy hash browns.
Decent coffee too.
Very reasonable prices and parking at the side or out front.

Really unassuming restaurant in Bancroft. Service was great, though I had to wait about 10 minutes extra for my burger to be ready.
The family working is really friendly. Menu is good..classic Canadian food. Prices are cheap so and it’s really good value.
We got the onions rings, burger, and fish and chips. Burger might have been cooked from frozen, but it was fine. It was like Burger King quality id say but was huge and the fries were amazing.
Onions rings were delicious and a good portion. The girlfriend loved the fish and chips. Good fish flavor, not too greasy.
Overall, 5/5 from me and we will definitely be returning the next time we visit Bancroft. Better than Eagles Nest in my opinion and a better business to support if you want some quick eats instead of Maccas or Subway.

Don’t be fooled by the exterior of this building. It appears to be unkept and aged, but it absolutely is not! We almost kept driving because it looked closed, and were very happy that we checked the door. The food was exceptional! Delicious and filling. We both had breakfast with coffee, and they were both hot and fresh. The omelettes were full of vegetables and cheese, and the shredded hash browns were crispy and not at all greasy. We’ll definitely head over there again when we’re back in the area.

Well this was one trip to the restaurant I would like back. No welcome when I arrive, no menu until I asked the main counter. Drinks cane without straws. Only one person was working on a Saturday lunch.
Owner was very rude, not polite at all and the place was filthy. Food was bare bones but prices were not too bad.
Washroom was filthy, and the owner took away sugar packets cause my kids were reorganizing them because they were bored. The owner is anti kids.
Will never recommend this place to anyone. Parking is odd, no real parking lot for this restaurant either.

Stopped in to Dave’s place for breakfast during a weekend trip to bancroft.
Dave made us feel at home and comfortable from the moment we walked in, even though they were short staffed.
We ordered a couple bacon and egg breakfast specials and an eggs bene.
All eggs were perfectly cooked, bacon was flavourful, the potato side was a shredded hash brown which I’m normally not a fan of since it’s hard to cook them so they aren’t mushy and greasy, but these weren’t bad.
Service was fast and friendly and the prices offered great value! Will definitely be back on our next visit.

The food was delicious…”Dave” was very business like… and argued when one of us stated that she had ordered 2 eggs when was given 1 egg…rule #1: dont argue with the customer! Just politely say I will get that for you as quick as I can.
And it was a little dark in the dining room but was tolerable and didnt take away from the quality of the food.

Not impressed, especially for the prices being charged. (While I understand why restaurants are charging so much more these days, they need to be offering an exceptional atmosphere and service to try and justify their prices, which Dave’s Place Restaurant doesn’t.) Food was adequate, but portions (Again, for the prices being charged.) were on the small side. Lots of better value eating options available nearby which I’d recommend you try.

Great little spot in bancroft!! Heard fantastic things about it so decided to try it out for supper.
Delicious meal. I had BBQ Pulled Pork on a bun with fries. Hubby had a Hot Hamburger dinner.
For the price it was reasonable. Fries are “real” and were AMAZING!! Only issue I had, was that my sandwich was detailed in the menu as having coleslaw on it, but that was missing. It was on a garlic bread French stick which I loved!! Hubby said his meal was very tasty but we were both perplexed as to no veg (other than the onions), which are usually served with a dinner like that.
Bathrooms are close by and clean!!
We will definitely rwturn!

When we first pulled up we weren’t sure. It’s a renovated house and looked empty. But we went inside and there was a couple there talking to a young man. They were obviously regulars so we decided to stay. The portions are really good size and the food was fresh and tastey. I would highly recommend this place. For two of us it came to $29. For lunch. You can’t beat those kind of prices.
