Moved out of state recently and miss having this down the street from me
Honestly a perfectly serviceable and great poke bowl chain. Basically like a chipotlw but instead of burrito bowls, they’re poke bowls! Ingredients were very tasty and fresh, customer service was great, and the food was quality (bonus for having boba tea here too!)
I didn’t dine in but there was plenty of seating if you wished to eat there instead of at home/elsewhere.
Summary/TLDR: Great poke bowl chain! Go here for a quick and easy poke bowl option! (Portions were great too, I LOADED my bowl)
(I’ve rated this on my personal scale for chain restaurants/to-go options)
I found this place online near work it look extremely promising given its review and was interested since they had yellowtail on their menu, which a lot of poke places around do not have.
I say this respectfully, this was the worst poke bowl I have ever had.
The establishment reeked of fish, “yeah raw fish place of course” no it was a harsh odor which should have been my clue to leave.
The yellowtail looked dry and oddly discolored, it had a darker disposition than normal causing me to pivot from that and get my reliable tuna. The tuna however looked extremely dry and had a funky appearance as well but I told myself I’ve seen and eaten worse. They say when a food is sooo good it melts in your mouth right?? No, this tuna disintegrated in my mouth, it had the oddest most unpleasant texture I have ever experienced with raw fish period, it was stringy and did not taste at all right.
I got through a few bites of the tuna before I picked all of it out to just eat my mix ins.
I only ate a few bites and my stomach is twisted so bad and is quite angry with me right now.
Not to mention the bowl cost $20 for the foul fish I’ve ever seen and tasted. To be fair I did up charge on masago and avocado but if you’re going to charge $20 the point of the product (the fish) needs to be good.
Ultimately it’s my fault for not trusting my gut when I walked in to this establishment, I should have promptly exited, but because I didn’t I’m writing this to warn anyone who is considering this place.
Respectfully just don’t.
