After a long day of exploring, we came across this place. I’m so glad we did. The food here is so delicious.
I highly recommend the bacon wrapped dates. They were so good that we ordered a second plate to take home with us. The fish and chips and the steak are spot on, as well.
The atmosphere of the place is laid back and the service is good.
I definitely plan on coming here again when we are in the area.

First time I’ve been here, nice bright restaurant, good decor. Menu is seafood forward which is good. No lunch menu it appears as you pay full dinner prices. Grilled shrimp skewers with rice and beans were very good however the batter on the fish and chips is so thick and almost not edible. Because the thick batter they overcook the small amount of fish that remains (it’s mostly batter). The prawns and chips were huge yummy shrimp with a much lighter beer batter that was decent. Coleslaw had very tart apples and needed a bit of sugar to offset. Serving staff was average although we were close enough to kitchen to hear servers yelling to someone if they should call a server in early, but decided to wait, LOL.

Very worth it. It’s warm, welcoming and my family felt welcome there, which as a black family can often not happen, especially out in the more rural areas and islands.
The food was really good, good proportions, extremely well prepared, the menu selection was well done, not pretentious but diverse enough for all eaters.
Staff was excellent and kind. One of the best reasons to visit the island.

Will be back. I recommend earlier in the day before it gets too busy.

Blue Heron has excellent staff. Great bar and food. There is a new fresh sheet out. The spinach dip was awesome.

Nice covered outdoor seating overlooking a nearby pond. Batter on fish and chips was crispy. It was a cornmeal batter which is different than many restaurants but it was very crunchy and the fish was perfectly cooked. The coleslaw was creamy and actually had a nice vinegar kick that a lot of places overlook. Service was friendly and attentive. Food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time.

We happened to be out for a drive and ended up near Stanwood. We decided to go to the Blue Heron kitchen and bar and had the best experience! The ambience, service, and food were amazing! Our table was near the window with a great view of the pond. It happened to be happy hour so some of our choices were from the happy hour menu. We shared the bacon wrapped dates, salmon BLT, and the Salmon&Cod Katsu. All were amazing! We will be back!

Prob the best dinner option on the island. The bacon wrapped dates and smoked salmon dip were perfect with our drinks.

The paella was good but I was hoping for the traditional method.

Oh my! What a great find on Camano Island! The food was fabulous and the atmosphere upscale and inviting. We started with the hot focaccia bread appetizer that came with a yummy dipping sauce. The Parmesan crusted ling cod with saffron rice and beans that hubby and I both ordered was amazing! It was a privilege to have Anna as our personable, fast, and efficient waitress. Last but definitely not least was the ginger peach cobbler topped
with vanilla ice cream. A must have!
We live 35 miles(70 miles round trip) from Blue Heron and will definitely make this a destination restaurant!

Five stars, easy. Blue Heron is hands down one of the best spots on the island. The food is next-level and surprisingly good for Camano. The whole place nails that vibe of feeling upscale without being stiff, classy but still warm and cozy.

Everything we had was cooked perfectly, and you can tell they actually care about what they’re putting on the plate.

Some of the nicest, most respectful, and caring service staff. Definitely a go-to.

Already planning our next visit back. Delicious food, great ambiance and outstanding service by Anna. Did not want our lunch to end. My husband said it was the best steak he has had and my linguini and clams were just perfect. So fresh and my new favorite dish.
