It was a wonderful experience at John’s Pizza! It was a big storm and we took refuge and were grateful to have a delicious spaghetti with marinara sauce dinner. They make a really good marinara! The staff were friendly and helpful.

This place was wonderful. The food was delicious. They make their own dough. My calzone was perfectly cooked and the sauce was excellent (also made in house) and as you can see from the photo the portions are extremely generous. Will definitely be going back

I am new to the area moving here from NJ. I know my pizza and love pizza. I was surprised at how great the food is. It is hard to find good pizza in NC. The quality of ingredients makes this pizza one of the best I have had in NC. The prices seemed to be raised way too much. The first few times I ordered it was when it was John’s. I think I paid 32 bucks for a large pizza and large Stromboli. The last time under new ownership was 48 an easy 25% increase. I usually like to get pizza once a week on my non cooking night but will rethink it because of the prices. Or maybe find another local place more reasonable. 30 bucks for a one topping pizza is crazy. It’s a shame too because I really really love the food

This place is no longer John’s Pizza it is now known as Marcel’s. This is the 3rd time we’ve been there. Unfortunately, it seems to be going on the wrong direction. This last visit, we ordered chicken wings, I got a stromboli and my wife ordered a pizza. Overall the wings were good. My stromboli was good, but my wife’s pizza was undercooked. We requested it to back in and they said they had another. Unfortunately, they were short staffed and it sat too long and it came out cold. Even worse, it had the wrong toppings. While the restaurant had a promising start, we are going to give it a while before going back.

A friend told me about this place. It doesn’t look good from the outside but the inside was nice and clean. The waiter was very friendly the food was fantastic I had the special 2 slices of pizza salad and a drink my friend had the two stuffed shells special which includes a salad and a drink my other friend had the tuna sub special which included chips and a drink we also had an order of onion rings all was really good. The prices were very reasonable. You will not leave here hungry

We have ordered from John’s many time, and we have always had a great experience. Their pizzas are always amazing, and our friends from out of town have also commented on how amazing their pizza and other dishes are! That’s huge! Especially since some of these friends are from places considered pizza meccas! We’ve also dined at John’s and we love the great service and the cozy, down-to-earth atmosphere i the restaurant. It’s always clean and well kept. We enthusiastically recommend John’s and thank them for being willing to delivering to us in Moncure!

Pizza was fresh but off point. There was a lot of cheese which I like & the sauce was tasty. The crust was thin & chewy. Service was ok. I ordered from the counter & they guy made me wait until he finished his conversation with his coworker. A regular would know to seat themselves. The server brought me my slices and drink & it wasn’t clear that I had to go back to the counter to pay. The vibe wasn’t the friendliest.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in town. Overall everything is quite tasty. Strombolis are probably my favorite. The value for the amount of food is great.
The staff did a remarkable job during the party couple of years. At times the wait is a tiny bit long, but with everything made fresh I sort of expect that. If your are in a tight rush plan ahead accordingly!
