– I tend to be loyal to another local brand, but I had heard good things about Tender. It was closer, so I decided to try it.
– I ordered brisket, ribs, original sausage, mac & cheese, and potato salad.
– I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste of the food.
– My favorite was the brisket and sausage. The ribs were ok, but I thought they were somewhat fatty, and I didn’t get that strong smoky flavor that I love and enjoy.
-The sides were enjoyable, but I could do without the rustic potato peels in my potato salad.
– Portions were acceptable and comparable to other bbq restaurants.
– I would visit again and try other menu items.

I would love to give more stars for service alone! I absolutely recommend Tender for your BBQ fix, especially this location.
We haven’t been to the others and we actually have one closer to home but Kevin took phenomenal care of us. He was so patient, so informative, and made my hard day, which happened to also be my birthday, so much better. The entire staff was friendly, accommodating, and quick.
The food was delicious and came out fairly quick! We tried a deconstructed sandwich that came with sausage, brisket, pork, and a rib. We also subbed our beans for Mac. Truly the best deal you can get! I recommend this method to try and see what you like first and go back with a better idea of your preference.
We also got to try the banana pudding and it was so good!
The atmosphere is very chill, welcoming, and homey. Check out Tender and give Kevin and shout! Thank you so much, Kevin!

I love this location. It is easy to order to dine in or take out. This location is mostly known for its catering. Other locations are ok, a little too busy for my taste. Jason is an amazing manager, very friendly and always willing to take time for a small conversation.

I stopped by Tender Smokehouse in Little Elm on a random Tuesday around 1 PM and was blown away by the experience. I ordered the beef rib, which runs $38—but don’t let the price scare you. The portion is massive, easily enough for two meals. I gave it my best shot but still walked away with leftovers (happily, I might add).
From the time I ordered to the moment I sat down, my food arrived in less than five minutes—super fast service, especially for barbecue. The beef rib was incredibly tender, perfectly cooked with just the right amount of fat. I could literally pull it apart with the side of my fork. The tangy barbecue sauce paired beautifully with the meat, elevating every bite.
As someone from North Carolina, I’m pretty particular about my barbecue—but this place impressed me. If you’re anywhere near Little Elm, make sure to check out this hidden gem. You won’t regret it.

It’s a nice spot to catch up with family and friends. We had the baked potato all the way and ribs. The service was nice and the food was good. Overall a pleasant experience. The macaroni looked a little dry but still tasted decent. I wish I had ordered the lean meat on my potato because I felt like all I got was the fatty meat.

What a delicious and clean place to eat! (Restrooms were clean too)
I had the half ribs (seasoned, falling off the bone -tender), mac n cheese (lightly seasoned), baked potato w/ cheese and baked beans (unique flavor)! All too tasty – all of my dishes complimented each other.
I sat outdoors – very chill vibe. Highly recommend going towards late evening. Plenty of games and things to do for families.
The manager, Chad and staff were very welcoming folks!!

Loved the BBQ from the brisket, sausage, and the ribs! Plus the delicious potato salad. Enjoyed the house BBQ sauce as well. Servings were plentiful! Looked like a great place for dining. I want to try breakfast next time we visit. We did takeout. Would definitely go back next time in Texas.
