I have had the chicken soup! Superb and the Red Bean Soup was sooo good. I am definitely hooked!

No photos because i started eating my soup in their parking lot. They are both filled with tasty ingredients.

Not happy! Ordered large plates for $31 and got small portions. Will not be going back.

My goal is to support small Black owned businesses as often as I can. Each time I visit, I leave feeling like my mere presence is an inconvenience. The owner is nice, but the young lady she leaves at the service line is often snappy and rude. It’s not worth taking a night off cooking to patronize this business further. They rarely have vegetable staples at peak times, like rice and peas and cabbage, and asking for them unaware yields terse and angry responses. The past 3 visits have been like this no matter how much I smile and try to look past the poor service. I can’t do this any longer. I agree with other reviews that discuss asking clarifying questions about food and ingredients being met with rudeness and hostility.

This restaurant was my first attempt at trying Jamaican food in Decatur. The decor definitely needs some improvement. Service is average but to be expected in a Jamaican restaurant. The menu is simple and has the most popular Jamaican dishes (curry, jerk, brown stew chicken, fish, rice and peas, etc.). My mother is Jamaican so I grew up eating authentic Jamaican food so I have high expectations. We ordered brown stew chicken and oxtail dinners. The portion sizes were comparable to the price. Neither had authentic taste. The food was bland and the flavors were off. We did visit late so only three items were available which does show that they at least cook food fresh daily. I plan to try it again and update my review if my second experience is better.

Just got my order from Grub Hub, I did not go in. This was my 1st time and I was very disappointed. I usually go to Willeys on covington hwy or eat right on covington , or Tropics in Lithonia. Those 3 never fail. This place Mac n cheese is not worth the price $7.99 with out any option for the size as a side. It was very dry, no taste really and did not move when I put the fork in it, . The greens are not worth the price for a side: They were only blanched an had a hot seasoning an were very tough also $7.99 with out any size option. The portion of the large jerk chichen was good for the price, but it was dry, barely tatsed like jerk an the rice was very dry an hard no peas at all were in my rice. My plate said it would have cabbage an pease, it had a pasta, that was not good to me at all. It was bland an had 2 green peas an the sauce was not good. The beef patti had barely any beef in it. The taste did not taste jamaican at all, it was like some hanbuger meat in bread. Will not be going back or ordering.

If I could get a refund I would. This is supposed to be Brown Stew Chicken the chicken over cook “Hard” tastes like a left over. I ate here in the past it was way better. Plantains hard yams taste like the only seasoning used was Nutmeg they even have this nutmeg only smell to them ! Rice is very dry. I am disappointed. I hope the Sorrel tastes better haven’t tried it yet. Smh

Sigh, I ordered from them via Doordarsh and the delivery guy handed me a bag with most of the soup in the bag and not in the container! He said “sorry about your soup it spilled over at the restaurant and they didn’t give me a new one.. so I had a bag full of soup and a broken container!! Also the paper bag the wrapped it in was soaked a d had fallen apart!! There was some at the bottom of the container so I could try it.. it was terrible!!! To top it all off the soup was $16!!! Here’s a picture of how my food looked

1st time visiting this place. Just something about having meats yet no usual sides ( cabbage or hard plantains ) is deflating. The jerk chicken has good flavor and texture. The oxtail gravy elevates the rice. Good seating to enjoy a meal.
