This is my second time going and it is truly the best Mexican food in town. I had carne asada fries. They were prettier prior to the picture I just got too excited and the pork avocado burrito and they both were so good. I also got the blackberry lemon drop and it was amazing!! Our waitress was so nice as well. My son who is 10 was also amazed and said omg mom this place is beautiful. The art on the wall is truly so pretty to look at. My only complaint is the inside is cold but maybe that is just me. Anyway I will be back many many times.

Holy Moly!!!!!! This place was incredible! The service was amazing, the waitress was very friendly, and sweet. I have had their breakfast burritos from Door Dash but wanted to try a fresh burrito, and I’m so glad I did. My husband is extremely picky and hard to please, he’s also super sensitive to spice. He loved his meal so much! The ingredients tasted so fresh, and you can tell the food is made with love! Parking was super easy also!

Speed by for lunch. The food was delicious and spicy. For me,I loved it, my husband not so much. Maybe give a small warning on the menu. Hahaha, he’ll be hurting later. The homemade fries reminded me of home-cooked meals. Will definitely return.

This was a terrible order. Placed it through door dash. It came to 57.88 for two carne asada fries beans and salsa. Only got a refund of 19.77. What is disappointing about this is that both fries came burnt and the cheese was so burnt that you could pick it up in one piece. The chile not pleasant tasting at all. My family wanted to try a new place and we couldn’t even eat our meal.

Two out-of-towners driving through Colorado Springs, we picked this downtown joint from reviews. Slow service, colorful and interesting decor and a tale of two plates. I ordered and ate every last bit of their namesake, Chile Colorado. Spicy, rich, flavorful. My brother-in-law found his green chile burrito run of the mill. The Chile Colorado is worth going there again.

Very disappointed in this burrito. Chile colorado is supposed to red with beef chunks and potatoes with pinto beans…
Not ground beef.. also this tasted like they used half of a pepper Shaker if not more in the food thats all you taste is pepper and nothing else..
Disappointed to the fullest. Paid a lot of money for 3 burritos and its nasty.
NEW MEXICO makes delicious chili colorado its red and made with pork..

By far the best salsa I’ve had since being in Colorado. The texture and spicy is 100% .
Also the lemonade was the most “ southern fresh sweet-tart “.

We had a nice time chatting with the owners who were serving and making drinks. The food was delicious and enough for leftovers to take home. A family run business that deserves a visit!

This was my first time dining at Chile Colorado and it was a great experience! From the bright exterior signage to the amazing colors and artwork on the walls inside, I knew that I was in for something special. The restaurant itself is very clean, which is always a good sign of how the food will be prepared. I’ve always gone by the “Base a restaurant’s food on how clean the restrooms are” motto. The menu is expansive, with so many options to choose from. This is a family-owned operation, and all of the recipes are theirs. On the recommendation of my friend, I ordered the Carne Adovada Plate. I hadn’t ever had this before. So much flavor! A little spice but not too much. The pork was so tender and delicious. I added an egg on top (also a recommendation by my friend) and it was the perfect combo. We also ordered the Chips Trio for an appetizer: Salsa, Guacamole, & Queso served with homestyle chips. Everything was delicious! Chef Daniel Moreno came out to make sure that we were satisfied with our meal. It’s always great when the Chef makes contact with the customer base. All in all, this was a great dining experience. I wish I still lived in the Springs so that I could try everything on the menu. I’ll just have to settle on trying different dishes each time I’m in town. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. It’s definitely a must-try if you’re looking for an authentic dining experience.

This place does make great food but the spice that comes from it is all the pepper they put in food and takes from the flavor or the food if they would work on the amount of pepper they put in the food it would be amazing.
