People rave bout this place. Even the couple that took us… We were seated promptly, had a couple different servers immediately which was a little weird and confusing but it was fine .. drinks were good, the food, barely “meh” I ordered a t-bone, my gal had halibut… Quite frankly she ate 1/3 and I had about 4 bites, sides were mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese… Potatoes were disgusting at best … Mac and cheese was pretty good… Far from “best steak house in Spokane”…

Back to my steak, lacked flavor, was a bit tough, just wasn’t that sink your teeth into meal we had heard about… Espresso martini was delightful tho…

Here’s a thought tho… And maybe this happens a lot is why she didn’t, when someone pushes back a 50+$ steak with a few bites gone and doesn’t ask for a Togo container… Perhaps there was an issue… The potatoes basically went untouched and I’d say the biggest hit on the table was the Mac and cheese… When saying this out loud, that’s pretty sad if your a “steak house” and the Mac and cheese which is mediocre outshines the entree…

In closing, service was good and fairly balanced, steaks get a 1 star for taste and 2 star done ness

When people read these I wonder if they think .. but this guy couldn’t do any better, the pic attached certainly isn’t from this “steak house” it’s a steak I prepared while stay at an Airbnb, so let that sink in, wasn’t in my own kitchen, brought a few spices from home but far from what I use… I fed 5 on this night .. steaks burst with flavor, tender and cooked perfectly to each ones order… So if some 50 something fella with zero formal training can make a steak 10 times better than this ” Spokane’s best steak house” there might be a problem… I’m not trying to offend but hopefully save the next consumer couple hundred bucks or more so, perhaps the management team might take this feed back as constructive and review and improve…
Just a thought…

Wow, this place exceeded my expectations! Jocelyn, the bartender, was incredibly friendly and really knew how to craft her drinks. I started with the spinach artichoke dip served with crispy pita chips, which was a fantastic choice. For my main course, I had the burger paired with a refreshing side salad, and I couldn’t resist finishing off with a rich espresso. Everything was absolutely delicious! As someone who’s visiting from out of state, I can confidently say that I’ll be returning the next time I’m in the area. Highly recommend!

Best calamari ever and GF! It was tender and spicy – so good. We had a lovely meal as always, but the service was not great, as much as I hate to say this. Most of the staff was very kind and helpful, but our waiter was MIA. Never refilled our wine glasses or checked in until we were ready for dessert. I don’t know what the issue was. It wasn’t the size of our order as we did a full meal with drinks. Please Spencers figure this out so we can enjoy going and paying the prices you charge.

As a steak and potatoes fan, I wanted to try this place as they claim to be the best steakhouse in Spokane. I ordered the fillet, a half order of mashed potatoes. Both were amazing! Service was a little hit or miss and I was seated at a booth in the bar so atmosphere was ok but I liked the vibe of Churchill’s better. Prices are lofty… if service matched the food it could be worth the price.

The best way I can describe my experience here is by saying that “everything just worked.”

I had heard that Spencer’s had very good food, and was worried that I wouldn’t be able to get a reservation, but I did.

I arrived early and was sat right away. Alisha was very friendly and helpful in recommending different wine and cocktail combinations for different items on the menu. She was very punctual and made sure all my needs were met.

My food was very good as well. What I remember most was how salty everything was, but again, it worked. I was very pleased with the quality of the meat I was given, and the sides were prepared very nicely. Alisha even accommodated my solo experience by recommending half-orders of certain sides to make eating easier. I barely had room for dessert, but the cake, and ice cream had was fantastic.

Overall, my experience here was very pleasant, and if I’m in Spokane again in the future, I’ll do my best to make it back tk Spencer’s for a good meal that both very reasonably-priced for the quality.

I am not one to write a review, pretty sure this is my first. Need to say something after the disappointing meal we had Friday night. It was our anniversary and we were heading in knowing it was going to be expensive but we were going to splurge on ourselves. From the beginning it was off to an odd start. Asked for crab cakes and was told no. The waitress informed us the crab cakes were terrible salty and we can’t order them. She pushed us on the calamari, not my favorite but we were fine with the change. The calamari came and it was so salty we could hardly keep eating it. Perplexed we went on with the evening. Wine came and the waitress presented the wine so we could see the back label :-). Ok, not everyone needs to be a Somalia, the wine was excellent. The food came, we had three sides, mushrooms, broccolini and Mac and Cheese. We both had steaks, I had the Fillet with Crab and Bearnaise sauce and my wife had the WAYGU steak. The sides were overcooked, undercooked and less than appealing. My $17 steak add on was basically cold crab added to the top of my steak. The last time I came here, the steaks were the best I have ever eaten. This time they were double the price and the quality was not the same. My wife’s WAYGU was tasteless, she ate 3 or 4 bites and left the rest. Now it feels more like a Chilis with 4 times the price tag… Not to say Chilis is bad, we all love Chilis, but know your not getting the top of the line steak at Chilis as you would expect here. To note, our meal was $460 with tip. Will not return.

I’ve been here in years past, and enjoyed my experience. This time was awful. Crab cakes were soggy and were made out of salt. After waiting an hour, finally got our soup the waitress forgot about, cold of course. Ordered a $78 “Wagyu” medium rare steak and got a tough, chewy, piece of meat that looked like a burnt pot roast. Sent that back too. French fries were soggy and luke warm. Mac & cheese was the only good thing beside my $25 martini. After an hour and 45 min, got a pathetic looking ribeye as replacement for the wagyu , by this time we were done with all of it, didn’t want the steak, just wanted to go home and eat something good. They could care less, didn’t comp ANYTHING, something any decent restaurant would do to at least in hopes for a chance at return business, but NOPE. If this place didn’t have event and out of town business, I can’t see how they stay open.

I enjoyed dining here but my only criticism is the delay they have in between courses. The steaks was delicious but the desert was so so! The salad also had some bruised and not so fresh pieces in it but overall it was a good experience!

Celebrated my birthday early with dinner at Spencer’s. Everything was delicious!

We ordered the smoked steelhead and halibut cakes, ribeye with mushroom & cognac sauce, smoked gouda mac & cheese, and broccolini with romesco sauce. Bread pudding for dessert (not pictured), of course.

For drinks my husband had an old fashioned and said it was one of the best in town. They have a surprisingly sizable mocktail menu so I tried one made with Wilderton Lustre + Bittersweet Appertivo and it was so good!

There are a few parking spots conveniently located right in front (DoubleTree Hotel parking), otherwise you can park in the garage and they’ll validate it. Highly recommend Spencer’s for your next celebration, date night, or happy hour!
