I stopped in for a coffee and something for breakfast. Although they offer breakfast sandwiches and burritos, I instead had a bowl of tortilla soup, a small spinach pie, and a curry potato potato pie.
The tortilla soup came generously filled with tender chicken and had a good flavor. The soup was of the thicker variety. I would recommend they use a thicker corn tortilla chip, so that it would hold up in the soup better and keep its crunchiness.
Both pies were savory and tasty. The spinach pie came with a melee of sauteed spinach and onions. They added fete cheese to the pie as well. The curry and potato pie was great. The curry flavor was very good and the potato was soft with small potato morsels that still offered a tender bite. These little pies came with a soft, bready, and mild crust.
The gents working at the cafe when I visited were super nice and welcoming. They offer a good amount of inside seating. They serve the Allied Plaza Building and visitors from the surrounding community.
They are also a full espresso bar offering espresso based beverages. There’s plenty of visitor parking.
I had the pleasure of dining there recently, and let me tell you, the experience was delightful! Yesterday, I indulged in the Greek Gyro Combo, and it was simply fantastic. The gyro was perfectly seasoned, with tender meat wrapped in warm pita, complemented by fresh toppings and a creamy tzatziki sauce. The portion was generous, making it a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.
Today, I opted for the hot Reuben sandwich on rye, paired with a macaroni salad and a Greek salad. The Reuben was nothing short of perfection—crispy, melty, and bursting with flavor. The macaroni salad was a delightful side, creamy and well-seasoned, while the Greek salad offered a refreshing crunch, complete with ripe tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, and olives.
Both meals showcased Jordan’s commitment to quality and generosity. The portions were large, and the prices were incredibly reasonable. It’s clear that this family-run establishment puts a lot of love into their food, and it shows in every bite.
If you haven’t visited Jordan’s Cafe yet, you’re missing out on an amazing dining experience. Great food, warm atmosphere, and friendly service await you. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu! Highly recommend!
