I’ve been looking for posole everywhere since I moved out of Chicago, where do I find it in Des Plaines downtown not far from my house. (only on the weekends). It’s was like my friend’s mother recipe. I tried steak, al pastor, and chicken tacos all were delicious and made fresh not from the day before. Also can we say Amen to warm chips. Both of their salsas were delicious but watch out for the dark red one I thought I was going to die. Everything was delicious and fresh. I feel like if you haven’t been here you’ve past it up a hundred time and never noticed it. Try it you won’t be disappointed.

Very nice place! Larger than you might expect from outside. They have a party room. Had a steak burrito w/ beans & rice. Well seasoned steak. Need to increase the steak-to- beans ratio a bit but good portion size over all.

I feel like this is a Des Plaines hidden gem. I’ve tried a half a dozen Mexican restaurants in the area and this is by far the best. I enjoy the chicken enchiladas verdes and my partner is impressed by their mole sauce. We also order the guacamole regularly. I am a repeat customer and both dine in and order take out. I’ve have never been disappointed so far. Definitely try this place if you have not already!

Food was delicious. The reason I deducted stars was because the portions didn’t match the prices. Why is a cheese (no meat) enchilada plate with barely any rice and beans $18? A large guacamole (albeit, delicious and fresh) is a small at TBK and they charge $10 for it. Good food, but small portions at ridiculous prices, in my opinion. Would love to come here more often when the craving for Mexican food hits, but I can make my own Mexican meal for half the price at home.

THE WORST mexican food ever!! Enchiladas were cold & dry, I had to pour salsa over them. The beans were cold had no flavor & served with white rice??? That entire meal was disgusting and lacked seasoning. The server never came back to check on me.
