Freya Bakery & Cafe may look like a little hole-in-the-wall at first, but it’s such a great find. There are a few seats inside and a couple of small tables outside, and it’s located on a quiet street not far from Pike Place Market.
The food was excellent — the quiche was perfect and the coffee was super delicious. It’s a wonderful spot to escape the crowds around Pike Place while still enjoying really good baked goods and coffee. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.

I stumbled across this place accidentally. Wow! What a great find. I already had my Starbucks, so will have to try a coffee next time, but had room for a pastry. I got the blueberry danish and it was delicious.
The venue is clean, comfortable, and very open. It has a great vibe.
The cashier was friendly and efficient.
I will definitely have to come back for more.

In Seattle visiting and this was the most delicious bakery and cafe. The staff was so nice and service was excellent. We asked about the name Freya and got the most passionate origin story. We ordered the quiche, tomato ricotta croissant, Norwegian brunch, and pear brûlée. Their coffee was also so good (they roast their own beans). We could eat here every day – and we did!

I will 100% be coming back here—so sad I discovered this spot on the last day of my Seattle trip. I absolutely loved the coffee and breakfast. The bread was fresh, and the coffee was excellent. I ordered the latte flight, which was perfect for trying their different flavors, along with the egg croissant sandwich with spinach.

Kinda of a hidden gem below the tourist traps of Pike Place Market (take the stairs down to Western and its steps away). Great seating and fantastic selection of bakery items, including single serving cake. The Matcha Dome itself is worth the visit. I had a the Gluten Free Cherry Orange (coffee) bread – not sweat and perfectly flavored. They also have Macadamia nut for milk alternative.

I got the cardamom knot and pear brûlée pastry. It was my first time having cardamom and wasn’t a huge fan but the pear was amazing. If I had to choose one thing it would for sure be the pear. It’s light but sweet which makes it the perfect dessert.

$27 for two cruffins and two coffees. Total ripoff. I’m a local and I’ve been here many times but I will not be going again. The cruffins used to be THE BOMB! They have been shrinking in size and going up in price. They used to be big and airy and full of custard. Twice now my cruffin was just the opposite. Just a fingernail of custard, not light and airy, and considerably smaller. Inconsistent product. Coffee was horrible. Returned to get a drip to replace my Americano, and it was just as bad. You gamble at this place for a hefty price.

Just below Pike Place Market is a small Scandinavian bakery. Walk inside you find many pasties, breakfast items, and coffee.
Overall, we enjoyed our breakfast experience. My eight-year-old daughter loved the banana chocolate chip bread. My wife and I enjoyed the meat quiche and breakfast bun with bacon. The cardamom knot had good flavor but it was cold and hard.
To drink, we both got the Kobenhaven Latte. It’s a slightly sweet latte with almond, cardamom and other flavors.
The space is small but there are a few outdoor tables along the sidewalk. Inside is a water jug with plastic cups and dog treats.

Ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and it tasted really, really weak. Took the lid off and it didn’t look like a matcha either. Barista confirmed that this was indeed my drink though, so I guess they’re just serving bad quality matcha if it’s this brown instead of green. I ended up throwing away after a few sips. It was hands down the worst matcha I’ve ever had.

We went here on a Sunday morning around 11 am and there a small line, took us about 5-10 mins. While in the line, you can see the variety of foods offered here with their names clearly labeled. But there are no prices listed anywhere, and things are on the expensive side.
The service at the register is a bit messy. They call the next person to the register, but walk away from it to get the previous customer’s order. They also shuffled registers so wasn’t sure if both were open and where to stand.
The food itself was good. The coffee was decent as well; no complaints. The ambiance is nice, and plenty of tables were available, although the place gets a bit noisy.
