Lovely Italian restaurant in Chevy Chase. I had the squid ink linguine which was delightful. Slightly earthy and combined with lobster tail, it makes for a great wine pairing. Others at the table had the spigola, expertly seared with crisp skin and tender flesh. The spaghetti alle vongole was a perfect portion dish with fresh clams in a refined garlic and white wine sauce. Overall very impressed and will be back.

Another great meal at one of favorite neighborhood restaurants. Homemade pasta is always a winner.

I used to live in this neighborhood years ago— It’s the only restaurant I still think about and return to whenever I get a chance to be in this area. And it’s right across the street from politics and prose. So get a book, get some wine, amazing pastas, and then the chocolate/ hazelnut semifreddo! You really can’t go wrong.

Honestly, this place is amazing! I’ve eaten at many places all over the world and I appreciate this restaurant for its authentic Italian feel, fresh food, and high vibrational energy. The owner and staff is extremely personable. Also, they have one of the best wine selections I’ve seen in a long time. The pasta is made fresh daily and I don’t know what else I could ask from a restaurant in a prime location. I will be back very often. This is already my second time this week.

Had a fantastic birthday dinner at I’m Eddie Cano. The food was delicious and exactly the right amount. The atmosphere was lively and charming while still allowing for conversation. Massimo was so welcoming and took great care of us. Definitely coming back!

Me and my friend came here for the Thursday Pasta/Wine Special dinner after a wonderful Italian Wine Tasting at the Italian Bar next door. And it did not disappoint. Wonderful atmosphere, amazing service by Roberto who is super friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I love this neighborhood feeling and quaint , welcoming place. Things are rough in DC these days, but you walk into this place and you truly feel like you’re surrounded by people who are genuinely happy, grateful, and ready to serve you and treat you the best way possible.

My friends and I had dinner here last week. Our drinks and appetizers were great, but none of us liked our entrées. My carbonara was too salty and my friend’s risotto was too bland. She actually had to ask the server for salt and pepper, which they forgot to bring out to us. They also tried to take our plates away when we weren’t done eating, which we all found very odd. Our dessert was good and the venue is lovely. I’m torn about returning!

A true Italian gem – not only in Chevy Chase – but for Washington, DC. Warm and inviting atmosphere and service always. Even better food! My family and I enjoyed delicious pasta dishes, appetizers and deserts. And finally a great wine and cocktail list! We highly recommend I’m Eddie Cano and come here as often as we can. Don’t miss out!

My husband and I dine here every Sunday evening. The menu changes with the seasons, giving me the opportunity to enjoy a new pasta favorite several times a year. (My husband always orders the same dish.) We start with cocktails, and Massimo makes a wonderful martini. They recently fancied up their seating, which is now both comfy and stylish. The wait staff (in addition to Massimo, an owner) are always friendly and welcoming.

Possibly the only decent Italian restaurant in the DMV (l’unico, credetemi, degli altri è meglio non parlare…). A mix of Roman and Italian-American cuisine, the pasta cooked PROPERLY, the wine list excellent, the prices excellent. The tasting menu is a spectacular good deal. This is a _real_ “mom and pop”, not a private equity-monstrosity with a bogus obsession with “authenticity” and weak flabby spaghetti. This is the real thing. Massimo and Caroline are there every day and for as much as it’s a cliché that people say about every restaurant, you feel at home with them.

Poi sarà l’unico posto a Washington dove si parla italiano!!!!

I can’t recommend enough.
