Updated 11/7/2025. Don’t get me wrong their food is good and I like the chain but this location bucks as they never get the order correct. Once again I ordered extra lettuce extra tomatoes and a pickle spear. Once again there was almost no lettuce or tomatoes and the pickle spear was no where to be found. I just don’t get it. Maybe the workers don’t know how to read. Out of the several orders I have placed at this location I think maybe they only got one correct.
Unfortunately ordering in the app for pick-up seems to give you unreliable service. Ordered the previous night I requested extra lettuce exta tomatoes. When I arrived at my house and opened it up it was made exactly how I wanted it, the problem is had was they did not include the picked spear which is on the receipt. Fast forward to the next day I ordered the hook and ladder again specified extra lettuce extra tomatoes. Again I checked it when I got home, this time I got the pickle spear but no extra lettuce or tomatoes.

I visited Firehouse Subs in Windsor and was very disappointed. The soda machine was clearly dirty and showed that it’s not being cleaned daily as it should be. Also, there’s a label saying the lemons are renewed every day, but that’s not true — they were clearly old. It’s disappointing to see this kind of lack of honesty and cleanliness from a place that serves food.

Did you know on Sunday’s kids under 12 eat for $.99? Skip the cabbage and the collards on Sunday and head on down to Firehouse Subs and grab you some lunch or dinner after church. The service was fast and friendly and the front end was well maintained. Very welcoming staff.

On Feb 10 I tried the French Dip and I have to say, it was fantastic. I was psychologically prepared to get a sandwich with not enough meat and too much bread but I was pleasantly surprised to find a really well made sandwich.

I stopped in and ordered the beef brisket and cheddar sub. Needless to say, my sub didn’t have any issues at all. Everything was hot, prepared well, and tasted good. Staff was pretty nice and attentive when I walked in. Sweet was quite good as well. No issues at this location.

Pretty good. I got a medium Virginia Ham and it was way too much for me. Shaved ham piled high with provolone cheese, tomato. It comes with lettuce and onions, but I left that off. Husband got Italian sub and liked it. They were not busy. There was a female employee not doing anything who was loud and obnoxious; dining would have been more pleasurable had she not been there.

Not sure why there is an option to tip the associate who makes your sandwich when they are more involved in their cell phone than making said sandwich. Soda machine needs maintenance.
