January 6, 2025: CLOSED for our annual holiday party! Locally owned by husband and wife, Chris and Yvonne Tan, we’re working hard to become the Sacramento area’s best spot to start your journey to the dumpling. We have a passion for what we do and we set out to create a family-friendly atmosphere in which to share our favorite foods. Our voice should be as modern as our decor, as warm as our soup dumplings, and as enthusiastic as we are about the little Chinese-food haven we’ve created.

Reviews
My daughters enjoyed it but for me, it was a bit overrated. The vegan dumplings were just okay, and the prices felt very high. We spent close to $100 for three people, which didn’t feel worth it for the food. That said, the staff was pleasant and the atmosphere was fine. Being in downtown, parking was difficult.
But man… what happened?
Everything was right below mid. Nothing was bad, but where’s the soul? (Especially at these prices)
Here’s what we ordered:
Pan fried soup pork bun
– Gummy, no flavor, too hot.
Peking spare rib
– Chewy, bland, covered in tasteless red goop
Chicken fried rice
– Greasy, no salt at all, chicken had weird texture
Hong Kong noodle chicken
– Decent sauce, noodles were too crunchy, bland overall
Siu Mai
– Decent, tasted like frozen ones from the store.
Egg tart
– Decent, again it tasted like a Trader Joe frozen item.
This place looks like Chinese food and has the shape, but it has no soul and no flavor.
With all the other great Chinese places in Sacramento, don’t waste your time coming here.
Heard of Din Tai Fung?
This is Din Tai NOT Fun.
Pork xiao long bao [9.5/10]
– These are reaaally good.
– 8 pieces, Soup filled, good size, good flavour
– Expensive, but might be normal Sacramento price ($18.5)
– Could come steamier
Beef noodle soup (8/10)
– Decent
– Chunky meat and chewy noodles
– Not really that spicy
