Brought hubby here for a birthday dinner. Was not what I expected, but overall, it was a good experience. Not to mention, the food was extremely delicious, and the serving size was great for leftovers. The server we had did well explaining the menu and answering our questions. I only wish that it was a bit more intimate or private. The King and Queen chairs are beautiful, but the placement makes it difficult if you want to take pictures… but still can be accomplished. It is an open concept floor plan, I do believe I saw a private party room, which was a plus for future plans. Will definitely be back mainly because the food was good

This restaurant had been on my radar for quite some time. I had seen a number of scathing reviews about the service and a few questionable videos that gave me a little apprehension about visiting. But after almost a year, I decided to go ahead and take the plunge and make my own decision about the place…and I’m so incredibly glad I did!
Latin Dream is indeed a dream!
The first thing you notice is the bright and lovely exterior which automatically gives you the impression that they’re trying to transport you to another place and create an experience for you.
We arrived in late afternoon and didn’t have reservations but we were greeted warmly and told it would be just a short wait. It wasn’t long before we were shown to a table and our server was kind and informative.
Then… came the food. ❤️
We ordered cajun oysters, crab fries and the Seafood Paella. Everything was so delicious and the serving sizes of the crab fries and the paella were easily enough for two. This place does not skimp on portions! We were full by the time we finished the appetizers! The prices are what one might expect of a fine dining restaurant but you certainly get plenty for your $$$.
The food combined with the decor and atmosphere makes Latin Dream a place to return to time and again for a taste of a tropical getaway in your own backyard.

This restaurant is very popular right now in Hinesville, GA. On a previous attempt to visit on a Saturday we left due to the long wait to be seated.

Known for its generous sized portions and nicely decorated interior. On our visit, we arrived right at 5:00pm on a Thursday so there wasn’t a line and we were seated promptly. Our waitress was nice and our food came out less than 20 minutes after ordering. The seafood paella was hot and fresh but the dreamy lobster pasta was cold since it came out about 10 minutes before the other food.

Everything was flavorful and the portions lived up to the hype. Very nice and intimate atmosphere. I will visit again.

We decided to go for lunch after church. The food was great. I am still trying to find out the added flavor in the rice. The taste was delicious. The portion size was enough for 2. The service was great as well. We did try the drink special, and wow, they did not hold back on the alcohol. Yes, I would return for a special occasion.

Very pretty restaurant, very nice atmosphere. We were able to get a table right away, the host did their magic and fit us in with the amount of reservations they had. The food had a beautiful presentation! As far as taste, it was supposed to be Dominican food and it didn’t taste like authentic Dominican food. Rice was super garlicky and the but it wasn’t bad . The crab dip was amazing ! My husband had the seafood pasta (I forgot what it was called) the sauce and noodles taste just like the seafood , we felt like it could have had a little bit more of a different flavor. We also had margaritas and they were very delicious! I would definitely come back and try different things .

We had a nice visit. There was no wait this time. Most of the food was tasty. Although the oxtails were tough – the taste was very good; the beans were lukewarm & no taste, and the drinks weren’t good AT ALL. As a matter of fact, we chatted with the couple who sat next to us and they said their drinks were too sour. Nevertheless, the rest of the food was really enjoyable!

Beautiful atmosphere, assortment of pretty drinks and delicious foods. Highly recommend for a special occasion or date night. Highly recommend, it is also kid friendly.
Chicken and rice dish were ordered and came with a side of plantains and beans, garlic Parmesan oysters, shrimp and steak and a ox tail empanada. It was all extremely flavorful and delicious!!

Food came out very fast, under 12 minutes. The child’s Phais Pasta was enormous, definitely enough for 3 children to share. Fried flounder was not heavy at all and delicious. The crab legs were over cooked, but the butter was tastey. They were served without crackers or seafood fork so I had to ask for that. Overall, the service was great and food was good.

Well, I was so looking forward to visiting this restaurant! I was so disappointed ☹️. I ordered the snapper and it still had the scales on it. I’m expecting a few lingering scales but this was a bit much. I also order the fried plantains (dry and hard and cold) sent them back for the sweet ( they were better). The top shelf margarita was horrible, I spoke with the bartender and asked her to just make me the best drink she makes. She came back with a Guava martini (it was delicious)! All in all, not satisfied at all! But the dish was absolutely beautiful, but the taste was horrible! My friend order the seafood paella, she said it was really good….even though it was made with spaghetti noodles I will not be returning nor will I be recommending.

Here’s my review for Latin Dream Restaurant from start to finish. I’m writing this because I had quite a few inboxes about it.

The restaurant is located in Hinesville Ga. Upon entering the restaurant we were told they were not accepting anymore guest. Since we had drove from Savannah and it was for my friends birthday we decided to defy the odds and wait it out in hopes something would change. Not to mention the smell of the food was tempting our taste buds and the ambiance was beautiful. As we were sitting outside we noticed a great deal of people were finishing their meals and our chances of being seated were improving. After about 30 mins of waiting we were able to get on the waiting list. After a total of 1 hour we were happily seated. I had mentioned to my friends that I read the dress Code was in place. I read that slides, booty shorts, sagging jeans, or tank tops were not permitted. I must tell you I saw everything that wasn’t permitted…. PERMITTED!! There we’re definitely a lot of nicely dressed people but there were also some people that threw caution to the wind to say the least or nicely.

Moving along… the restaurant is nicely decorated, the lighting was perfect and the seats were comfortable and cozy. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress with a heavy accent that explained to us what they did and didn’t have available as well as what was available but was not on the menu and it was a-lot. Such as Salmon, crab legs, lamb chops so be sure to ask about what’s not on the menu. I did notice alot of familiar faces from Savannah so that was very welcoming to see.

The prices on the menu were very reasonable. They have a full bar with top shelf liquors to choose from. They also had $5 margaritas!!
The bartender does not mess around be sure to have a designated driver lol.

For an appetizer we shared the Crab & Shrimp dip w/ nachos and let me tell you… it was amazing (pictures below) we practically licked the plate…. We cleaned it!! ( lol) the portions were huge and we found that we could actually share our main course meal next time if we choose too.
I ordered the lamb w/ bourbon sauce and honestly I feel the meat could have been cooked longer but the sauce was delectable..(pictures below) I choose yellow rice, plantains and beans. The sides were delicious as well. I also ordered a side of fried shrimp. They were lightly battered and crispy. Perfectly seasoned just how I love them. One of my friends ordered rice, lobster and crab legs. She was not that amused with her meal but she’s not a complainer. It wasn’t anything wrong with it.. it just wasn’t her cup of tea. (Pictures below)
My other friend had the ribeye steak and it was absolutely delicious. It was charred, with delicious flavoring, grilled onions and topped with grilled shrimp. OMG it was amazing!! (Pictures below)

For 3 people with an appetizer, 4 drinks, 3 main courses and a side of shrimp our bill was only $207 total before tips.

So to summarize…. The portions are big, the prices are reasonable, some of the food we tried was Amazing and some was just good. The ambiance is classy and very nice. I would definitely return. It’s a great place for a girls night out or date night. Get pretty ladies, pull your pants up guys and enjoy a beautiful evening at Latin Dreams!!!
