Ramonos Pizza in Van Alstyne is hands-down one of my favorite places to eat. The food is consistently amazing every single time I visit — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service is just as impressive. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which makes every meal feel relaxed and enjoyable.
One of the things I appreciate most is that, when time allows, the owner will personally come out to visit with our table. It’s such a thoughtful touch and really shows how much pride he takes in his restaurant and his guests’ experience. You just don’t see that kind of genuine hospitality everywhere anymore.
Highly recommend Ramonos Pizza — great food, great people, and always a great experience!

Gosh. Where and how do I began describing how great this place is. Was about 20 minutes before closing time, chairs were already on the tables but we were greeted with the most warm and genuinely welcoming smile and hospitality.
The young lady manager or perhaps not a manager but an employee who thought like an owner greeted warmly, assured us that we weren’t bothering their closing procedures and would be pleased to serve us. Thinking like an owner and not as an employee who wanted to close shop and get out of there. Can’t stress her warm generous hospitality. It’s rare to find it in anyone in their 20’s these days. She’s golden.
The cook made the best supreme pizza, sub sandwich and cheesey garlic bread.
Phenomenal food, freshly prepared, hot and delish.
Please spend your time in Van Alstyne and your dining dollars at Romano’s. Great small town hospitality and great food. ♥️♥️♥️

I stopped by Romano’s yesterday with my mom and my son. When we walked in it was like walking into Christmas! There was tinsel, streamers, and decor everywhere! I loved it. It was amazing. However it immediately overwhelmed and overstimulated my nonverbal, autistic toddler who immediately had a meltdown. I held him while we ordered from the sweetest waitress. Once we realized he wasn’t going to adapt to his surroundings I quickly brought him outside while my mom asked if we could get our order to go. The staff was so incredibly sweet and understanding. They apologized even though they had nothing to apologize for. The pizza was 10/10. We will absolutely be back even if it’s just to get it to go 🙂

This is without a doubt my favorite place to eat and has the best pizza and calzones! My favorite is the meat calzone “Al’s Way.” Speaking of, the owner is amazing. Him and his staff really run this place like a well oiled machine. He employs so many kids in the local community, some of them working their first job here. He always gives them a chance. Such a great guy. We love Karlie too! Great family owned business and great food!

The food is always amazing no matter what you get. The service can be hit or miss depending on who you get unfortunately, but otherwise we love Romano’s! Just look at this amazing pizza! Safe to say we ate it all. My absolute favourite dish is the Fettuccine Alfredo with mushrooms. There’s nothing better. Out of this world good. Honestly, if I could afford it, I’d eat here every week!

The food itself was good, but it did take quite a while to come out. Unfortunately, the biggest issue was the boss. He was extremely unprofessional, cussing and yelling at his employees right in front of customers. When my pizza was made incorrectly and I came back just to have it fixed, he started yelling at everyone in the kitchen and around and throwing a tantrum instead of calmly correcting the mistake. I didn’t want an argument, just my order fixed. Because of his behavior, I wouldn’t come back despite the food being decent.

Romano’s Pizza never disappoints. The food is always amazing, and the service is just as good—friendly, fast, and welcoming. You can really tell it’s a locally owned spot that cares about its customers and community. One of our go-to places every time. Highly recommend!

Solid place to get above par Italian food for sure. The pizza is just a very standard crust. Otherwise the cheese and sauce are pretty amazing. Ravioli was about 9/10, mostly because of the sauce but the filling was very decent. Ham and bacon Italian sandwich was absolutely delicious. Sandwich bread is very light and toasty, easy to enjoy. The pizza is good enough, but it’s not the real winner here. Highly recommend! Would have gotten 5 stars if the tables were cleaned.
