Absolutely fantastic seafood! The flounder was perfectly cooked — light, flaky, and full of flavor. The shrimp plate was fresh and seasoned just right, and the tuna bites were a pleasant surprise — tender and delicious. The fries were crispy, and the coleslaw added the perfect touch. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. Great portions, friendly service, and a relaxed coastal vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back!

That Atmosphere is very nice if you like views of the water. The waitress was very kind and tentative. The wait for the food was not long and it was served hot and fresh! The shrimp po boy was very good! The Crab Cake was very decent size, just had to ask for a sauce and I went with po boy sauce other than that I Would recommend this place and the food!

I went to Chick’s Oyster Bar with friends on their recommendation & now it’s a must each time I visit VA Beach! The valet parking makes the experience feel luxurious! The outdoor seating is usually more of a wait but it’s worth the wait to eat on the water! The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful with string lights and good music! The food is DELICIOUS! I got the shrimp tacos & we had the calamari as an appetizer. I also highly suggest the sweet potato fries- they are very sweet, almost a cinnamon warm flavor, and crispy! You must visit if you’re in the area!

One of the best flounder sandwiches I have ever had!! The flounder tacos were out of this world! Fries were cooked perfectly not too soggy and not overcooked. I love when good food that’s simple is executed perfectly! Our waitress was really awesome very attentive stoped by the table multiple times never had to ask for anything very polite. Had a wonderful time at happy hour. The food and atmosphere were amazing. The deals were also pretty good. The staff were extremely welcoming and on top of things. Can’t wait to visit again!

We had a great experience overall! They had complimentary valet parking, which was a nice. The valet staff were friendly and efficient.

Our server, Aura was fantastic. We initially ordered the Orange Crush but forgot to mention we wanted it without alcohol. Despite the mix up, Aura quickly and kindly replaced our drinks with the non-alcoholic version, which turned out to be delicious for the hot weather.
For appetizers, we had the hush puppies and fried calamari. The hush puppies were very good, but the calamari was quite rubbery and tough to eat, which was a bit disappointing. For our entrée, we ordered the firecracker shrimp tacos with fries both were excellent. The tacos were flavorful, and the fries were perfectly done.
Our food came out quickly, and Aura continued to check in on us throughout our meal, which we really appreciated. Even though it was a hot day, we still enjoyed our time outside thanks to the great service and good food.
Would definitely come back, especially for the amazing Orange Crush!! Much appreciation to valet parking staff!!

Valet parking. Greeted warmly at the door. Very friendly staff and service. Had the steamed clams, Costa Rican tacos with black beans and rice and my partner had the fried oysters with fresh green beans and sweet potato fries. Flavors were good. Clams a little gritty. Views magnificent.

Chicks Oyster Bar is the place to be if you’re looking for fantastic seafood in a great location. I went in for lunch and was completely blown away.First off, the crab cake sandwich was absolutely incredible. The crab cake itself was packed with fresh, sweet crab meat and had very little filler. It was perfectly cooked, with a golden-brown crust and a tender, flaky interior. Paired with the soft bun and fresh toppings, it was a truly delicious and satisfying sandwich.I also ordered a pound of the steamed shrimp, and they were just as good. They came out piping hot and were perfectly seasoned. The shrimp were big, juicy, and easy to peel, making them a pleasure to eat. I was also really impressed with the wings–crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a sauce that had just the right amount of kick.The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. This is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to at VA beach. I highly recommend it for anyone craving great seafood and a fantastic dining experience!

What sank the experience was the astonishing rigidity. My meal came with a small piece of cornbread. My wife politely asked if she could also have cornbread. Not extra. Not free. Just cornbread. This was refused.
We were told cornbread can only be served with certain meals and cannot be purchased separately, as if it were a rare mineral governed by strict international treaty. No flexibility. No exceptions. The cornbread supply must be protected.
My wife is Italian. In her world, bread is not a luxury item or a controlled substance. When she asked for any bread, she was offered hamburger buns and charged for them. Hamburger buns…
To complete the experience, a 20% automatic gratuity was added, ensuring we tipped generously while being told that a small piece of cornbread was fundamentally impossible.
