I really wanted to like Black Market at Bayside Marketplace, but the experience was honestly disappointing.
I ordered the fried chicken sandwich ($18.99) and paid an extra $2 to upgrade to onion rings. The onion rings were drenched in oil, the batter was still wet, and some pieces even had the onion peel still attached. That shouldn’t happen anywhere, especially at this price. The chicken itself tasted like a frozen patty dry, bland, and with barely any sauce. There was literally one pickle on the sandwich. For over $20, that’s just not acceptable.
We also ordered the “Wagyu” smash burger with sautéed onions ($25). It wasn’t smashed or crispy like you’d expect from a smash burger. It came out like a regular cheeseburger. The bun wasn’t toasted, just straight out of the bag. The meat was extremely salty and over-seasoned. For $25, it didn’t feel special at all just overpriced.
The dozen BBQ wings ($23) actually tasted good, but even that price feels high.
I do want to say our server was very kind and tried to make things right. The service wasn’t the problem. The issue was the food and the value.
The atmosphere didn’t help either. The front of the restaurant was empty, yet we were seated in the back where it was dark, crowded, and so loud you couldn’t even have a normal conversation.
When you’re paying these kinds of prices, you expect quality and a good experience. Unfortunately, this just didn’t live up to it.

I had an amazing experience at Black Market Miami! The atmosphere was great, the food and drinks were fantastic, and the service was truly exceptional. My server, Brian, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He was attentive, friendly, patient and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. It’s rare to receive service that feels this genuine and thoughtful.
Thanks to Brian, my afternoon meal was memorable, and I will definitely be coming back next time I am in Miami. Highly recommend!

This used to be one of my go to places for a juicy burger. That is no longer the case. The onion rings were all raw batter and made with the outer peas of the onion making it a chewy plastic, the smash burger was not smashed at all making it a regular 2 patty burger with the bun being 50% bigger than the patty, and the chicken sandwich was returned. It was freezer burnt. Not visiting again. Not the same experience from 2 years ago.

I went here with friends, and we tried a mix of burgers, the Philly cheesesteak, and I had the mahi mahi bites. The drinks were solid (definitely try the rum punch or margarita), but the food was bland, overpriced, and portions were just okay. It honestly felt like basic tourist fare. Might be worth checking out if there’s an event happening, but otherwise, it’s not really worth going out of your way for. Also the table was super sticky and gross. Left white marks on table.

Was recommended black market to try their smash burger. Was a very good burger, I have never had a 10/10 and am a tough rater, but I would give this a 8.7/10. As someone who has been in customer service I thought Anthony was a great server. Knew when to come over and ask what we needed, and engaged in really fun conversation. Would highly recommend the burger and give this guy a raise!

We wanted to enjoy our meal on the pier, and we scanned the code so they would bring the food to the outdoor tables… but they delivered everything in disposable plates, dropped it on the table, and just walked away. We were expecting a completely different experience. Overall, we did not enjoy the food and service at this place.

The first night I came, the Wagyu burger was outstanding. I was so excited to come back from my cruise and have it again and unfortunately was wildly disappointed The burger was over seasoned and overcooked I can say the service was stellar so big shout out to Bryan for redeeming the experience although a $100+ lunch tab with bad food won’t bring us back. Again- kudos to BRYAN!! Drinks were decent.

Restaurant at 20% capacity. One bartender. 30 minutes to receive drinks. Lychee martini delivered with glass half full. Didn’t feel that they were busy enough to warrant the time it took to be served. Furthermore, the servers were very friendly, but my overall experience was less than ideal. Shrimp ceviche is good.
