This place exceeded all my expectations! The menu had a great variety of options, and everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. I visited for lunch and I purchased 3 barria tacos that came with rice and beans.
First off no utensils or napkins. Second the beef in the tacos were old and dry, tortilla chips taste old. The rice and beans were mid. Anyone can open a restaurant not everyone can make good food.

If you’re a person of color looking for good flavorful Mexican cuisine while staying in Batavia, this is not the best place to eat at. The food was fine— would’ve been so much better if it was fresher and seasoned more. I’d like to note that the chili hardly has any defining taste, and the curly fries, although perfectly crispy, had an aftertaste of fish— leading me and my sister to believe that they were fried in old oil— the same they must use to fry fish. The birria tacos were good, but the meat was chunky and lacked flavor. Consomé filled to the brim with a thick layer of oil. Again, the chili burger was dripping grease and tasted only of onion. I assume this is because the onions in the chili burger are cooked in a surplus of oil or butter. They practically drip out of the burger.
The chipotle sauce in the burger, however, was delicious. The patty was cooked well despite the grease, and the spicy shrimp with rice and beans was great, although it was served in a rather small portion. Chips and salsa were great— by far the best salsa I’ve had in a while. Atmosphere was fine. The restaurant is rather lonely and the short man who was behind the bar was constantly staring at us as we ate. I don’t know what the reason for that was, but it was a bit strange. He could be a ways more subtle with his gawking.
The service was great. Nothing of note there.

This might easily be my new favorite Mexican restaurant and in all of NYS. They have really good food and even have some of the more specialty meats like lengua or tripe. The owner is very kind and works the tables as well. He is very down to earth and we spent the whole time I was there for lunch chatting about a million different things. Nearly anytime I have a craving for Mexican food I will DEFINITELY be back

Ate here on our way through Batavia. The name is exactly on point. Everything was very flavourful. The refried beans were thick, not runny like a lot of places. I had the Nachos with the pork and it was fantastic! The chipotle sauce is so good! Their salsa is also very good. The only thing to be improved is the lighting in the restaurant. Needs a little more ambiance.

I have eaten many a burrito and a plate of nachos in my life, maybe too many if you ask my doctor. This place is now in my top spot. I got the Carne asada burrito and it was god tier. Im upset I waited this long to go, but I will be back many times. Nachos where 5/5 as well.
