Location is easy to find in downtown Rutland with plenty of paid street parking at 8AM.
Interior was clean with a neat vibe and a seating for around 20ish people. Staff was upbeat and friendly.
We both tried leaf peeper lattes which were pretty decent. My wife had a bagel sandwich which she enjoyed. I tried the very serious burrito which I would highly recommend, it was excellent.
Overall, for a quick stop, it was pretty good. We would certainly come back and would recommend to others if you need coffee/bite in the AM
There’s a variety of cold and hot beverage options. I’m a fan of the serve-yourself coffee station, the flat white, and their dirty chair – all amazing and well-balanced with full-body flavor.
Their food menu has signature items that include burritos, breakfast plates, toasts, lox and bagel, biscuits and gravy. I always opt for the “build your own egg sandwich”. They have unique sauces and toppings to spice things up. I get the biscuit, scrambled eggs, cheese, butter, green stuff (green salsa style, not spicy), pickled jalapeños.
You can also get a variety of a la cart and bakery items. The vibe is cute. They even have a local art vending machine that holds tiny pieces of art by many different artists for purchase with quarters (I think $1). They have local papers available to check in on what Rutland and the surrounding area is up to while you’re in town.
I was blown away by the espresso, 3 dimensional flavor and rich, smooth.
Great place to go get a warm tasty uplifting drink or meet friends and vibe, or both.
My problem is with the smell of this place. I don’t know what it is, but the last handful of times I have come in have been unbearable for my nose.
Last time I was here, I waited at the counter for a coffee and had to cover my nose while I waited as I almost threw up from the smell of stale urine. Before that time, I went to the bathroom and same thing, stale old urine all over the bathroom floor.
Today, I had to leave because the stench of BO/stale urine was so bad that I could hardly focus on my work. I really love this place, but they have got to do something about this. For some reason, I have never had this issue when I come in for Trivia on Thursdays/-:
Cappuccino is always as requested. Small space and can get busy on occasions
