This time we ordered online and waited
45 mins past our pickup time? Chicken Biryanis was half white rice and the $2.99 mango chutney was very small. Attention to detail will help in this restaurant environment.
I am hoping the management and staff get organized as this place has great potential.
AMAZING AND DELICIOUS FOOD, GREAT PORTIONS, GREAT PRICES, EXCELLENT SERVICE, AND INCREDIBLE RESTARAUT TO SATISFY YOUR INDIAN CUISINE CRAVINGS!!! I love this place and I’ll keep coming back!
October 10, 2025: visited again and enjoyed another delicious meal! Fantastic prices and portion sizes, food tastes fresh and yummy, and comfortable dining experience with friendly staff. See new pics I added. Dishes are presented beautifully. They also have a display with really pretty desserts! Don’t ever leave North Bay, Sukhdev!!! ❤️
Sept 2025: First time trying this place today and they were AMAZING! I highly recommend and I’ll be back for sure! EXCELLENT place to dine for your Indian cuisine cravings and good prices!
I saw on Facebook that they were offering fall specials for dine in, so I thought I’d give them a try for lunch and order a little extra to bring home leftovers as dinner.
I ordered the butter chicken fall special ($12), chicken biriyani fall special ($10), and spicy chicken noodle appetizer ($11.99). See pics – all that food was under $35!
After taxes and tip, it was only $45! No other restaraut gives you this much quality food for the price. These tasty leftovers will last me a few days.
There was a 30-45 wait for all of the food to come out, but it was well worth it. The chef’s work was outstanding.
Portions were great and all of the dishes tasted freshly prepared and delicious. Each entree was presented elegantly in a beautiful dish and was garnished.
The service was friendly and atmosphere had a great vibe. There was nice Indian style music playing and the restaraut overall looked very clean with high quality furniture pieces and decor. There were a few other guests and they all seemed to be enjoying their meals as well. On my way out, a worker thanked me for my visit and said I’m welcome back anytime. That was some superior customer service and that felt great to hear!
I am thoroughly impressed with my visit today. I absolutely plan to visit again and an excited to try their other dishes. AMAZING place to dine for authentic Indian cuisine. This place is a new gem! 5/5.
Incredible place!
My only complaints (which are minor nit picks) are:
1) the restaraut website and Facebook page state they open at 12pm and I arrived at 12:02pm to find the doors were locked, open sign off, and it didn’t seem like there were lights on inside. I waited around and started checking Facebook and Google to see if maybe they were closed for the day and I perhaps missed that information. Eventually, maybe 5 minutes later, someone came and unlocked the door to let me in. No big deal – I was just was expecting them to be ready for customers right at 12pm.
2.) After placing my order, the waitress told me my order would take 15 minutes. My order took around 30 to 45 minutes for it to all to come out. One dish was served after 30 minutes of waiting after ordering, the second came out around 35 minutes after, and the noodles 45 minutes after.
I don’t mind this at all – I appreciate the chef’s work and it was all delicious, and I rather the chefs take their time than rush a dish. I was just a little confused as to why I was told 15 minutes.
Still a great place that I’ll be coming back to!
The food was absolutely outstanding. I tried their butter chicken, which was rich, creamy, and full of flavor—easily one of the best I’ve ever tasted. The aloo paratha was perfectly cooked, soft on the inside with just the right crisp on the outside, and packed with delicious filling. Every bite felt authentic and satisfying.
I also had their sweets, which were fresh and perfectly balanced in sweetness—an ideal way to finish the meal. What truly stood out was the drinks presentation. They served drinks with dry ice, creating a stunning visual effect that made the whole experience feel unique and memorable.
The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and quick, without making me feel rushed. Everything was handled professionally, adding to the overall experience.
This place is more than just a restaurant—it’s a complete experience of taste, presentation, and hospitality. I highly recommend everyone to visit at least once. If you’re in or around North Bay, this is a must-visit spot. For me, it was truly one of the best food experiences ever, and I will definitely be coming back again.
Overall review delicious
Our visit started perfectly with a warming pot of Indian tea and freshly made samosas. That first bite was a genuine delight—it instantly transported us with its authentic, “home-style” taste, a real comfort here in North Bay.
For our main course, we continued to be impressed. The dishes we ordered were both pleasant and yummy, full of robust flavor and clearly prepared with care. It was a satisfying and delicious meal from start to finish.
The highlight of the night, however, was our conversation with the owner. Their warmth and hospitality were exceptional. We ended up sharing stories and having a wonderful chat about their native place. That personal connection transformed a simple dinner into a special experience, making us feel like welcomed guests rather than just customers.
If you’re looking for authentic Indian flavors and truly heartfelt hospitality in North Bay, Sukhdev Restaurant is a fantastic choice. We left with full stomachs and warm hearts.
A good Indian restaurant should have 2 staples: 1. Genuine and tasteful chutney 2. Good naan bread.
The chutney came in little factory packages like the tasteless kind you get in a freezer box! The naan was doughy and raw. For $70 this was overpriced and not quality food.
