We went to Apicio, with no idea what to expect, based off the recommendation of a stranger..& if I were to ever cross paths with that person again I’d shake their hand. This place turned into an instant favorite of ours & I can’t wait to go back. I’d decided on a pasta entree with lobster, but our waiter, Tim, advised us that if either of us wanted the jumbo shrimp entree we’d better order it now. It’s apparently a hot item & was about to sell out for the evening. I took him up on the offer & I’m sooooo glad that I did.. it’s up there in the top 5 things I’ve ever tasted in my LIFE. Meanwhile, my wife was pleasantly pleased with her order as well..she didn’t tell me verbally.. I could tell by just looking at her that it must’ve been delicious. One doesn’t do a slow motion, happy dance, while they’re eating unless it’s good GOOD. I could keep raving about how tasty everything was, from the drinks to the dessert, but it’s literally making me want some right NOW.. needless to say.. we WILL be back.. & if you like Italian food, I’d suggest you give them a shot as well..

We had a great dinner at Apicio. Started with the carpaccio, which was super fresh and really well balanced. The branzino was cooked perfectly, and full of flavor without being heavy. We also shared the pasta frutti di mare, and it was loaded with seafood and tasted rich but still clean. Everything felt thoughtfully made and high quality. Definitely a place I’d go back to.

Really nice place ! Brand new! Excellent food! Drinks are also really good. Antonio behind the bar is amazing he explained that pastas are home made .. I asked for this black pasta made w squid ink and served w lobster and shrimp so delicious…We loved this place !

Everything was yummy! The quality of the pasta is noticeably better than other places. We also loved our cocktails- Sybil’s Secret and The Colosseum Crush. I also tried the house made limoncello with dessert and really enjoyed it.

Excellent Roman food here in Zionsville area. Really really good espresso martinis, wine list, AMAZING fritto misto with such great Marina! (The calamari part of dish will astound you!), the chicken pesto lasagna with fresh high quality pasta is one of a kind, and the tiramisu? Takes you to a Rome without the airport hassles. Danny was a top notch server in a really cozy comfortable environment- love the old school booths. Go here!

Delightful dining experience in every way. Great food, outstanding service, wonderful atmosphere. The wine list is extensive, cocktails delicious and don’t skip the limoncello for a digestif. Pasta is made in house and was perfectly prepared. The veal was tender, a generous portion, and had a perfect accompaniment of asparagus and roast potatoes. It felt like a dinner in Italy with perfect pacing of the meal and a waiter who was attentive and helpful. This restaurant is a pleasure and a wonderful addition to Zionsville. Can’t wait to go back!

This restaurant is amazing! I celebrated my birthday a week ago at Apicio. I had a great time!I The food is delicious, staff is friendly and very professional. The atmosphere is soothing and welcoming. Just for every day dining with friends or special occasions Apicio ristorante is the perfect choice. I will definitely be back!

Absolutely delicious food!!!!!!! And we’ve been to italy. Ha There were 4 of us and ordered several dishes to share so we could try more! The beet pasta dish surprised us all- it was the stand out that we all loved! The only downside was the table was very small for the 4 of us & the food & drinks. Next time, we’ll request one of the big booths!

I’ve been here 3 times since they opened. What a great new italian place. Easily top 2 in the city. Service was impeccable (always hit or miss at most new places). The food was out of this world. The squid ink pasta is amazing. Chicken lasagna is my wife’s favorite and has ordered it all 3 times. Great build out and atmosphere. Bar was wonderful for valentines day. So happy to find a new restaurant that is actually really good with good service. Cheers to Apicio.

This place is really good, I think it surpasses Convivio & Good Omen as top Italian place (Looked like a lot of Convivio’s staff came over to work here). Wait staff very friendly & knowledgeable. Food was excellent. Prices are fair and inline w/ the market.
