Spoonful of Buttercream is quite literally my favorite business in Farmville! They offer a wide variety of sweet treats, coffee, and custom cakes, cupcakes, etc. My personal favorite sweet treat from them is a tie between the lemon brownies & their cinnamon rolls (a true classic—they’re fluffy, sweet, and just always on point!). In addition to their yummy baked goods that I look forward to weekly as a “pick me up”, the warm/friendly atmosphere is unbeatable. I’m always greeted with a pleasant smile and enjoy chatting with the owners. Whether you need a custom cake, a pie for Thanksgiving, or a gift basket of goodies, Spoonful of Buttercream has you covered!

If price is no object for you, this is a great little shop! Cute decor, friendly service, and beautiful desserts. But the prices are a little ridiculous. We paid almost $10 (with tax) for a piece of brownie with one small scoop of ice cream in a tiny cup. It *was* delicious! But definitely not worth the price in my opinion, especially when compared with other local ice cream/dessert places.

Spoonful of Buttercream makes the best chocolate cupcakes on the east coast. They could charge 3x what they do and I would still be there every week. I got to meet the owners and they are absolutely fantastic. They are such a great addition to town. I highly recommend you check them out!

The icing on the cupcake was coarse, the chocolate cupcake was nothing special. The price for 1 tiny cupcake was about 4.50. Extremely not worth the price. Try spending more time in making a great product and forget the exorbitant price. I won’t be returning. How you stay in business is beyond me.
I came into your store a few days before I left the review. The icing was grainy and coarse. There were cupcakes at 30 percent off on the counter. So much for saying you sell out your cupcakes daily. Your insinuation about Walmart was foolish. I don’t spend my money on baked goods at a place where China probably imports 80 percent or more of the merchandise
I shop at Chandler’s Bakery in Charlottesville, they have amazing cakes, cupcakes and other baked goods. It’s unfortunate you have to pay so much for your overhead but your product leaves a lot to be desired. So the truth hurts but do better.
