Overdue review! Black Rabbit is one of my favourite restaurants and I will say their burger menu is the beat value in the entire Litchfield area for dining in or takeout. The burgers are enormous and delicious… side of sidewinder fries, and the value is unreal under 20 bucks. I dont think any restaurant or take out place beats the burger value.
Rest of the menu always has other great choices, extensive and fun specials menu every single day.
Great service, kitchen is always firing on all cylinders, never slow even when full house!
Cocktail programme is really good and the bar seems like a cool place to go for drinks, although we usually dine in or get takeout.
Shrimp tempura is always a go-to when dining in.
In fact, we have a reservation for dinner tonite! Now…which burger to get?

Started off with the calamari, which was heavily battered but the calamari was tender and they had a lemony tarter sauce to dip it in. I had an everything burger which was charred grilled and delicious with sweet potato fries, and my wife had the quiche with a garden salad that she enjoyed immensely.we went back a second time and I had the tempura shrimp appetizer. I had the Ruben sandwich with sweet potato wafer fries and my wife had a small Caesar salad with salmon. She said it was a little dry and we finished lunch with cheesecake and my wife had the Keylime pie, which were a little dry. They were both served with fresh made whipped cream.

Excellent lunch stop! The food was great and service was quick and friendly. We had the Hot Honey Feta Spread, the Stella Spice, and a Patty Melt — everything came out fresh and tasty. Nice atmosphere and perfect for a casual meal. Definitely a spot I’d come back to!

Great dinner! We didn’t have reservations, but pulled in at 6:15 on a Saturday evening and got a hi-top table and excellent service. The kids menu portion was huge and comes with a scoop of ice cream. The sweet potato waffle fries were delicious. We had excellent vegetarian options – cauliflower buddha bowl and black bean burger. The watermelon gazpacho and chicken wings as well as the chocolate chip peanut butter cookie sundae were also great! And we had excellent service.

We found this great little hideaway on our way to NY and we’re so happy we returned 2 days later! Make sure to try the clam chowder or better yet go on Sunday for brunch! The owner is usually there and goes out of her way to make sure great food is served creatively, hot and in good sized portions. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️

Good food, wonderful seasonal menu, and a nice setting. Ate outside on the patio. They had a quiche with ramps in it! The beer list was small, but a nice regional selection. Food was delivered quickly and was very tasty. Would definitely stop by for a meal again.

We had a fabulous birthday lunch celebration for 20 people in July . Our server was so patient and helpful. We couldn’t ask for better service! Having a full menu to choose from, everyone found a meal they desired and there were only smiles and high praise for feedback. All of us fit in a separate seating section so we felt like we had the place to ourselves.
Thank you Kendra and staff for a wonderful time.

What a quaint little spot! If you are in the area, I highly recommend it. We sat outside under the awning, and it was perfect. We enjoyed watching the birds and bees popping in and out of all the beautiful landscaping! The food was great, and the staff was super sweet and attentive. Go enjoy!

Really yummy pub food. Not just a tourist trap like the other restaurant we went to in town. Two different types of lobster rolls on the brunch menu. Husband likes more seasoning than I do and salt and pepper were ready at hand for him to customize his burger. Cocktail menu good. Beer cold. Service friendly. Playlist on point.
