One of the best sushi restaurants I’ve tried.
The Oshi sushi and Nagasaki udon are absolute must-tries and truly their signature dishes.

Great meal. We took 4 friends out and everyone loved it. The lunch box was fantastic. Salmon salad was awesome! Portions were great. Food was very good and service was good as well. Haven’t eaten here before but will definitely be back. I recommend it!

Tip tier, 100% the BEST sushi you will ever experience. Especially in Abbotsford. I have been going here over 20 years and never has the quality of food or service changed. Perfection every single day. This will always be my highest recommended place for sushi.

We ordered the Family Platter for my son’s birthday. This is definitely worthy of a family gathering. So fresh, so good. Generous portions and quality ingredients. The owners are wonderful. Wouldn’t get sushi anywhere else.

Fantastic food and service. They offer private booths, take out or dine in. We went on the Friday before Mothers day, we were surprised when they presented my mother witha small boutique of roses. Definitely will be back. Eri and Hiroko were the sweetest servers I’ve ever met. Very affordable meal, great flavors

To celebrate Canada Day, our family drove to Abbotsford. We checked out some strawberry, raspberry, and blueberry farms nearby. As it got close to mealtime, we searched for nearby restaurants. Our family loves Japanese food, so after comparing a few places, we decided to go to Sushi Nine. It’s in a big mall, so parking was super easy. The place was spacious, clean, and the staff were really friendly with bright smiles, which made a great first impression. The five of us ordered a dinner set, three bowls of udon, tempura, and a special roll. When the food started coming out, everything looked so delicious. And the taste? Absolutely perfect and just right for our family’s palate. Even our kids in grades 4, 7, and 10 loved it and said we should come back often. Plus, the portions were generous. We stumbled upon Sushi Nine by chance, but it gave us great memories. Thanks!

During a recent work trip to Abbotsford, I had the pleasure of dining at Sushi 9, a cozy Japanese restaurant that left a lasting impression. Over the course of a week, I found myself returning four times, eager to explore more of their extensive menu.

On my visits, I indulged in the Fantastic Roll, Dragon Roll, and the Sashimi & Sushi box from their lunch offerings. Each dish was a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to quality and authenticity. The sushi rolls were beautifully arranged, and the freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite. The sashimi was fresh, delicate, and tasty. The flavors transported me back to my culinary experiences in Japan, a true delight for the senses.

The restaurant’s ambiance is intimate, featuring several comfortable booths. Notably, three of these booths are designed in a pseudo-Horigotatsu style, accommodating up to six people, offering a unique and traditional dining experience. I never encountered a long wait for my food, a testament to their efficient service. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience.

I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic Japanese dining experience. You will not be disappointed.

Sushi 9 is definitely the kind of place I can’t wait to tell all my friends about!

My top recommendations: Oshi Salmon Sushi, which is smoky and buttery, and the Futo Maki, which is packed with flavor, and the spicy seafood Udon, which has the perfect kick.
(The other side dishes were awesome too. Even while I’m writing this review, I’m already thinking about going back for more!)

There are so many sushi places out there, and it can be hard to choose where to go. I usually check reviews, but these days it’s tough to find honest ones. That’s why Sushi 9 stands out—it truly lives up to the great reviews. Every dish, from the sushi to everything else on the menu, was absolutely delicious!

I completely understand why one reviewer mentioned coming back multiple times after their first visit. Everything I tried was fantastic, and I’m already planning to explore more of their menu next time!

If you’re in the area or just looking for a new sushi spot to try, do yourself a favor and check out Sushi 9. You won’t be disappointed!

I highly recommend this place! It’s one of the best sushi spots in Abbotsford. The staff were friendly, and the food was fresh and tasty. My parents enjoyed it as well. We would definitely come back! 🙂

We went to have a meal at this mall restaurant because it seemed to have good google reviews.
We were really disappointed on a number of accounts.
First, although we are average built Canadians, we could barely fit in the booth we were sat in, having to move the table over for each of us to seat ourselves, and this was uncomfortable.
Second: Although there were only a few customers in the restaurant, we were seated right next to a very loud party, who were obviously intoxicated. It was not a nice atmosphere, and not conducive to a pleasant lunch with their raucous laughter and loud conversation making it impossible for us to hear each other speak.
Third, the food. We ordered shrimp tempura and eggplant kushiyaki as appetizers. Two of the four shrimp had a strong fishy odour, as if they had sat out on the counter much too long. Two were OK, and my companion ate them, but I could not eat my second shrimp after the smell of the first, which also had a mushy texture. A fifth shrimp came with my bento box, but I did not eat it. This item was removed from our bill at our request due to the poor quality. The eggplant kushiyaki was also mushy, not grilled at all, and had a slimy texture. The sauce just slid off of it, unlike proper kushiyaki grilled eggplant, which is usually a nice dry texture with grill marks and carmelized edges. The udon soup my companion ordered was lukewarm when it arrived and the broth lacked flavour. He only ate half the soup, and although we packed it to take home, we ended up throwing it out later instead of risking reheating soup that appeared not to have been properly heated to begin with. My udon bento box was OK, but it was a small portion for the price and the tempura that came with it was excessively greasy so I did not finish it, although I was hungry.
Will not be back and do not recommend.
