This is a really unique Chick-fil-A. Half of the building operates as a traditional Chick-fil-A, while the other half is the Dwarf House, a sit-down restaurant that serves additional Southern-style dishes you won’t find at most locations. When we visited, the restaurant was packed, but Chick-fil-A still got us in and out very quickly with the exceptional service they’re known for. One highlight was the pecan pie, which you normally can’t get at other Chick-fil-A restaurants. There are also nice outdoor areas where kids can play, and parking was easy even with the restaurant being busy.

This is where it all began! It’s one of the rare locations where you can choose between self service or a full service sit down experience with a server. The menu features exclusive items you won’t find anywhere else, like chicken & waffles, steak, hamburgers, and even omelets. It’s incredibly kid-friendly with a fun scavenger hunt for ‘hidden gems’ (mini dwarf statues) and a great play area. Super clean, professional, and conveniently close to the airport.

Super cool discovering the original Chick-fil-A! Loved learning about the little red door!

Staff are very sweet and helpful. My waitress answered questions and made great recommendations. I tried the sweet potato souffle, and I now understand the hype! It was quite sweet and is perfect as a dessert. I had a side of brussel sprouts, and it was standard – but had too much salt. The fried chicken sandwich was delicious, a tad bit on the thin side but good enough. I like that it had lettuce and tomatoes with it.

Clean and relax atmosphere, and a fun experience! You can sit at the bar or at the booths!

My first time to this particular Chick-fil-A.
It was fantastic!

Especially was I impressed with the attitude of the employees. Every one of them was laughing, talking, and enjoying their job.

Also, food was very good!

Will definitely be back whenever I have the chance.

Half of the location is a normal Chick-fil-A with some additional menu options, while the other half is a full service restaurant with the special menu. We ordered the chicken and waffles, the southern omelette, and a platter that lets you select three sides.
Omelette was slightly spicy from the chicken and peppers and pretty loaded with corn and beans. The waffles were also fluffy and not too sweet. The sprouts were crispy and well seasoned while the soufflé tasted like a warm sweet potato pie. The waffle fries were more disappointing, under seasoned and not crispy.
Overall food is what you’d expect for fast food, but still cool to try out the special menu options.

You can never go wrong with Chick-fil-A, and this Atlanta location delivers every time. The food is always fresh, hot, and consistently delicious — from the classic chicken sandwich to the perfectly seasoned waffle fries. What really stands out is the friendly, fast service that makes every visit smooth and welcoming. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or a family meal, this spot is reliable, satisfying, and always hits the mark.

The Dwarf House was a great experience. The food was excellent. When you walk in, you can either go to the right for the Chick-fil-A counter where you order like fast food, or to the other side where you can sit in a cute diner-style setting. I chose the diner side and loved it.
Even though I was planning to just get a chicken sandwich, I had to order a pancake because the smell was absolutely to die for — and it did not disappoint.
The staff was amazing. My waitress was adorable and so kind (I wish I remembered her name so I could give her a shoutout). She even offered me a to-go box and a coffee to take with me at no charge, even though I hadn’t ordered coffee. That level of service really stood out.
Overall, great food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. I’ll definitely be back.

There was a very long wait to enter the restaurant, approximately 30 to 45 minutes. This is a must-visit location for Chick-fil-A fans who want to experience the original Chick-fil-A. The restaurant’s layout and menus differ by section. The left side is a full-service restaurant, while the right side offers the regular Chick-fil-A menu.

The full-service restaurant features a separate, more elaborate menu. The regular side operates like a typical Chick-fil-A, where guests can order at the counter or table, with a few additional items not usually available at standard locations. Overall, it is a worthwhile visit for those traveling to Atlanta who want to experience the first Chick-fil-A.

Visiting the first Chick-fil-A ever built was definitely on my bucket list. I was surprised to see that it had a full breakfast diner inside. I ordered the Chick-fil-A Skillet, and my wife had the Spicy Chicken and Waffles. I got to try both, but the skillet was definitely the winner.

They also recommended we try their homemade pies that are made fresh daily. We went with the lemon pie. It was just okay for our taste, but still cool to experience since serving pies was part of their original menu.

The customer service was great and everyone was really friendly. Definitely a fun stop for any Chick-fil-A fan or anyone interested in seeing a little piece of fast food history.
