I’ll start with I’ve been a lifelong macayos goer and have been to most locations and this one is by far the worst. Today I had a horrible experience with them not listening to a simple food request because of a food allergy. I had placed a phone pick up order, when I got there and noticed the allergy request was not followed I was given attitude, and when I asked for the complimentary chips and salsa that wasn’t given to me (you get them with every take out order at every location), the guy looked and me and said you ordered nachos you already have chips. By the way I ordered multiple meals for multiple people so the nachos were only for one person. Also, my other meal was wrong but I didn’t know until I got home. They put red sauce on a Baja burro, not requested nor does it come like that. When they brought me the remade nachos they were half the portion they usually are, and when I asked the manager that gave them to me if this portion looked good to her, she said they always look like that. I’ve ordered these 20+ times and have never been this skimped on. This location is terrible and so are the employees and manager. I would highly recommend going to another location. Queen creek is pretty great.

The Macayos restaurant in Chandler on Alma School and Queen Creek is excellent and remains one of the best family restaurants in the area.
The staff is consistently welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our server is usually Carlos, who is professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. He always goes above and beyond to make our dining experience enjoyable.
The food is also fantastic. The chicken fajitas, tostadas, and enchiladas are outstanding, and the fiesta salad is easily one of the best in the valley. The overall value of the food and margaritas makes this an exceptional establishment!
Our family highly recommends this location.

Visited family in Arizona in October, and decided to try this Mexican restaurant. We went there around 345 pm on a Thursday. We were seated right away. They were slow only a few tables in the restaurant.
The chips and salsa were decent. We ordered the corn appetizer and it was delicious. I highly recommend it.
The food came out super fast. I ordered the steak fajitas, which were nothing to brag about at all. I will not order them again. Not much of flavor and the meat quality was not the best. Definitely do not recommend. The other order was a vegetarian burrito, which was OK.
All in all this place was OK to try once, but there are better Mexican restaurants in the area to spend your money at.

Macayo’s always has the best tamales. Chips and salsa were great. Service from Carlos was great. Don’t know why this place isn’t always packed. We went at 5pm on a Thursday though. I had beef tamales in red sauce w/ beans. Recommend the tamales. She had green chile pork stew. And he had 2 enchiladas I think. Reasonable prices. Ready to go again!

Had the chicken fajita enchiladas. The tomatillo sauce is so good. Alexa was our server and she did an excellent job. The manager Brandi delivered our food and later came back to checked on us and was very sweet. Food came out quick and hot. We had a great experience and will be back.

I have been here a few times and it was decent but this last visit has warranted a review! The food tastes like it was made last week and microwaved to serve! Burrito was just slapped together so you only got one item with each bite(not mixed or evenly lined) the place was empty but our food and service were slow considering! Btw the burrito al la cart was $15. I am so disappointed I do not plan on going back.

I have been a patron of Macayo’s for most of my life. This location is the worst one I’ve been to. It took 20 minutes to take our order. I had to ask a different server to refill our drinks (twice) and then it took 45 minutes to get our food. It was cold by the time it arrived, and the food was mixed up when it was delivered. After we endured the cold food we waited for our check another 15 minutes with empty glasses. What should have been a celebration for my son’s birthday was a complete let down. I have had my food discounted twice at this location for sinilar service, but not this time. My $200 dinner was not worth it. I don’t think we will be returning.

We’ve been here a couple times when we are here visiting family. The food has always been good. This review is about the service. We had 8 people, they seated us right away, thy weren’t too busy. The guy who seated us brought 3 baskets of chips and two salsas and told the waitress that we needed one more salsa, she nodded and took our drink orders, came back with the drinks and we asked for waters for the whole table and another salsa. She rolled her eyes and walked away.
10 minutes later we got the salsa and 2 waters and she took our food order.
Another 10 min we got a third water.
That was it. We never got anymore water.
The food came at it was all good at least.
But I doubt I’ll go back. There are far too many other good Mexican places to choose from then to deal with servers rolling their eyes over a simple request for water and a salsa.

This used to be our go to for Mexican food not any more! They are closed for lunch tried to go a couple times. Took my mother in law for diner. Our waiter was so so so slow he could not do multiple tables at a the same time. He would have to go check each time he ordered something, then move on to the next table and when we ordered and asked to not have onions, he was upset with us as he had already set it electronically to the kitchen. Mother in laws nachos came out COLD the cheese was not even melted. Our fajita’s had 5 shrimp on the platter, in the past there was enough for a couple tortilla’s’ not this time. Last we wanted a receipt and it was a pain for our waiter and he give us one belonging to someone else. 6 strikes we are out!

We wanted to try this location for a while. We visited in the afternoon, off-peak hours. We were seated in no time, served with chips and water. The food was delicious and so was the drink, good. Very neat and clean! I have been to other locations, wanted to try this place before I bring larger group. I will be back for sure, and with my family. The team – hostess, server, bartender were very prompt and offered excellent service. Pretty good for a newly opened restaurant!
