We visited The Cheesecake Factory in Santa Monica during off-peak hours (around 2 PM on a weekday), and the restaurant was only about 20% occupied, so there were plenty of seats available. We were able to choose a nice window seat, which made the dining experience more enjoyable.
The serving time was a bit longer than expected, around 20 minutes but the food was good and worth the wait. We ordered the salmon and a pasta dish, and the portion sizes were generous, with one serving being enough for one person. Overall, a comfortable dining experience with satisfying food in a great location.

The Cheesecake Factory Santa Monica is a beautiful restaurant with a gorgeous outdoor patio with heat lamps for cooler weather. The interior was clean, modern and has a cozy atmosphere. The service by Chaz was excellent and the Oreo and the Red Velvet cheesecakes were excellent. I thought that the prices were very reasonable and I would definitely return at our group had a great experience.

The food itself was excellent and cannot be faulted.
For my starter, I ordered the baked brie with truffle honey butter. While pleasant, the orange marmalade was overpowering and completely drowned out the truffle flavour.
The portion sizes, especially by European standards, are absolutely enormous. I had the Chicken Parmesan “Pizza Style,” which is a full chicken parm topped with angel hair pasta in Alfredo sauce. Either part alone could have been a full meal, so together it was completely over the top in size, though still very enjoyable.
My friend ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and absolutely loved it. To finish, the fresh strawberry cheesecake was outstanding and easily the highlight of the meal, fully living up to the restaurant’s reputation. The food was undoubtedly good, but the pricing felt high for what was delivered, even if the portions were generous.
The real disappointment came with the service. We initially asked to be seated in one of the side booths but were told that area was not in use, only to later see other groups being sat there during our meal. Instead, we were placed next to a busy walkway, which was not an ideal dining spot. Our server clearly had far too many tables to manage, which made it difficult to get her attention when we needed anything. That said, Kala herself was warm, friendly, and helpful and deserves credit, as it was clear she was not being adequately supported.
The restaurant was also very dimly lit, which did not add to the atmosphere. In other venues this can work well, but here it simply made the space feel dull rather than cosy.
While I would return for the food, the inconsistent service and poor value for money mean this is not somewhere I would visit regularly.

My wife and I stopped in here for an alcoholic beverage and a slice of cake each.
My wife got the Cookies and cream cake with a Sangria, whereas I had vanilla or peanut butter, with a bottle of Coors Light.
There was no wait in a massive restaurant, it was relatively quiet. Service was prompt and the server was nice.
The cakes;
They were nice but by the end, tasted quite sickly where me and my wife said, ‘we wouldn’t order another or they weren’t incredible enough for another order’.
You could say we didn’t get the best ones? They were nice however, I must make that clear.
HOWEVER, the big con here is that for 2 slices of cake, a $15 sangria and a $7.50 bottle of beer was $52!!
The price is genuinely crazy and I can’t say to you to rush out and stop by here. It’s not the best cake you’ll ever have but it’s not bad at best.
Disappointing visit, wish the prices were more reasonable and the cake being phenomenal and if that was, I wouldn’t have no complaints, I could have overlooked the expensive alcohol.

I had the lunch Chicken Chipotle Pasta and Very Cherry Chocolate cheesecake. The food was very good and even with the lunch portion I took some of the main dish home. Jason D. was a great server giving great advice regarding the food. Only oversight was the table had pasta sauce from the night before.

We stopped in around 10pm on a Saturday night. Service was prompt and we were seated immediately. The terrace tables are fitted with overhead heaters do no one will get cold sitting outside. We went in for the cheesecake. The waitress was very helpful in assisting us in making it selection because there are so many varieties on the menu. We chose the peach one with whipped cream and raspberry drizzle and the other one was an Oreo cheesecake. Both were excellent and surprisingly not heavy. The portion size was great and the presentation was beautiful. There prices were appropriate but you are not walking out of there thinking it was a steal. Overall a good experience for our first taste of this franchise.

The Cheesecake Factory is a classic dining experience for those looking for a warm and grandiose atmosphere. Nothing beats the warm lights of the tableside candles or the absolutely breathtaking postmodern interior design. That’s what draws me into the Cheesecake Factory, and it’s a unique atmosphere that I don’t get from many other restaurants.
That said, at my latest trip to this location, I tried the fettuccine alfredo. It was delicious, heartwarming, and quite filling. I really enjoyed how creamy the alfredo sauce was as well as how cheesy it was. I did think it could use more flavoring and spices to match competitor restaurants, but it was a decent pasta overall.
As for the service – it was ok, not bad, could have been a bit better. Other Cheesecake Factories usually ask me whether I want to seat myself at the bar or choose a table for myself when I ask for a table for one, but the hosts at this location will try to seat you within 1 foot of a fully occupied table in the booth area without asking when many other open tables and the bar is available, which seems strange. I’ve also had a few servers that were serious and quiet and not the most cordial, however on one occasion I had the most amazing, warm, friendly and just overall so enthusiastic server that truly made my day and my dining experience so much better.
Overall, a pretty good restaurant!

Santa Monica is quite a nice place – we had a beautiful view on the balcony. The atmosphere was really inviting. The food was excellent as always.
