On the fly is open currently from Friday- Sunday. 730am-330pm. They offer breakfast, lunch, coffee specialties, chai, yummy shakes and malts. I love the brisket breakfast burritos! Everything is good. Don’t be in a hurry here…the food is made to order and it is a small business with limited inside seating. During warm weather, lots of outdoor seating is available. They also have a drive through. I usually call in my order in advance.

Perfect stop for homemade delicious food! Friendly staff and great service. Great menu items and healthy fruit veggie smoothies. A must stop when you’re hungry or need a quick bite. Inside has limited seating but preferred the outdoor seating. Plenty of seats.

Unlike many other local places, this diner is actually opened from 7:30AM and serves great food! It offers many choices of coffee and espresso and good ones at that. The food is always fresh, made from scratch. Great bacon, homemade corn beef and other local goodies. We are grateful for old fashioned food and for them actually staying opened when you are hungry and need coffee.

I was wandering around the western US on the bike and touring through Montana when I passed by the On the Fly. It caught my eye, so, I turned around and just had to check it out. These are the kind of places I love to find on the road. The lady running the place was very friendly and shared lots of interesting info about the area. Met a couple of locals while there and enjoyed the conversations. The food and coffee was excellent. And, they have the best potato salad I’ve ever had anywhere.

Love this place! the owner is super friendly, the portions are HUGE, GREAT pizza, and amazing breakfasts. Not a lot of seating area during the winter (only 3 tables), but in the summer you can sit outside and its a great way to start your day 🙂

Decided to drive to AK from WI. Happened to drive by. Decided to turn around and check it out. Glad I did. Ended up staying for an hour to talk to the owners. Very kind with lots of interesting knowledge about the area, and suggested a good guidebook for my journey. Great ice cream shake too! These are the places I hope to find on a long journey.
