My first visit to Jesse’s Carreta was today. It will not be my last! My friend and I both ordered the daily special, flounder and shrimp swimming in garlic butter YUMMY!! With salad, beans and rice accompanying the seafood. The limonada was lovely and fresh, the totopos (chips) and salsa (fresh and not picante) were delightful. Jesse is an example of someone with gifts in customer service, decoration, and creating a lively Mexican experience. Meals take time to be prepared as everything is made fresh. This gave me time to explore the restaurant, check out the animals, and really take in the atmosphere. It’s a true gem in Puerto Peñasco! Thanks so much to Jesse and his brother ☮️

Cash only. Great fresh coconut shrimp served with dipping sauce. Jesse has done wonders with the place. Margaritas served with a shot of tequila on the side. Barrilito is only beer choice, served with a lime. We will definitely be back

First time here and we’ll definitely be back! We were a group of 8 so we tried a little bit of everything, my chili relleno was incredible! The service was phenomenal, the decor is amazing and the other food was delicious as well! The only downfall was the amount of flies due to it being hot and the animals but they were super cute!!

Food was authentic and delicious. The place is definitely and experience i highly recommend. There are puppies and chickens and a pig and peacocks. It is decorated in all things mexican, everywhere.

This was our second trip to Jessie’s Carterra in Puerto Peñasco, and it just keeps getting better. We brought a friend with us this time, and she fell in love with the place just as much as we have.
The decor is this eclectic, electric twist on Día de Muertos—colorful, vibrant, and full of personality. It’s the kind of atmosphere you don’t forget. And the food? Always on point. Every dish we’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
Jesse himself is an incredibly nice guy who makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. It’s easy to see why this spot has such a loyal following.
Whether you’re a local or just visiting Rocky Point, you need to check this place out. One of our absolute favorites!

I wish I could give this zero stars. This place was a vibe and I was truly excited to try the best pina colada in town. halfway through it however I realized instead of chewing coconut it was plastic. Jessie said it was the bag he kept the frozen mix in and said “it’s fine, it’s clean” then walked away. No apology, no offer to make a new one. Just walked away.
Then one of the kids found a piece of wood in theirs and once we started excavating we found a bunch more wood. It turns out that was the wooden spoon he used to mix while blending. When we pointed it out to him he started telling us how coconuts and pineapples have hard outer shells. that’s after he retrieved the same spoon missing chunks of wood. Again, no apology.
Needless to say we won’t be returning

We were introduced to this place by our condo neighbor. It is a little off the beaten path, but from sand beach you can be there in 10 minutes driving slow. The atmosphere was vibrant and it just immersed you. I will say this, do not let anyone who has consumed shrooms or anything too mind altering from entering this place, their head will explode. As for the food…… top five meals I’ve ever had. Best kept spot! We visit often! Oh and not that it matters too much, but there is a small well kept animal sanctuary petting zoo Jesse will let you visit. Jesse is so accommodating and would bend over backwards for anything you needed. Love this man!!!!
