I can’t say enough about Tarpon! First and foremost Mark!!! Mark was amazing, read the room, got our personalities and made our dinner spectacular. He is a definite asset to your restaurant and hope you recognize him accordingly. Now to the food…. The olive tapenade was so deep in flavor. Bread was fresh. We had the lobster ravioli for our appetizer, so good! I ordered the scallops they were good, maybe a second or two over cooked but still stood out as a great meal with the risotto. My husband ordered the steak, he had no complaints. Mark then brought us each a dessert drink… Carmel espresso martini, couldn’t have been made any better, fantastic! This was definitely a stand out experience. Well done.

Our dining experience at Tarpon Bay restaurant at the Coconut Point Hyatt was nothing short of amazing. We enjoyed a delectable array of dishes, including both West Coast and East Coast oysters, Maine lobster, and a crispy whole snapper. Each dish was prepared to perfection, with fresh and flavorful ingredients.

To top off our meal, we ordered the cheesecake and key lime pie, both of which were simply outstanding. The cheesecake was rich and creamy, while the key lime pie was perfectly tart and had a coconut macadamia crust which only enhanced the Keylime pie.

Overall, the meal was fantastic, and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend Tarpon Bay for anyone looking to enjoy an exceptional meal in a beautiful setting! Our server, Reggie did a wonderful job!

Incredible atmosphere, amazing service, and food. In 2024 while visiting the area we came to celebrate our engagement fast forward we came here last night to celebrate our Wedding and of course Valentines Day. Our server happened to be Jason P both times and he is such a great member of the staff, his knowledge and enthusiasm makes dinner even better than the great tasting food.

Stayed at the Hyatt regency coconut point, so decided to give this restaurant a try. We did not make a reservation prior, but were able to get in the day of for a late 8:30 time. I do know you can book reservations while not staying at the hotel. This place was delicious and we loved the ambiance and vibe of it all.

Pictured is the calamari which was absolutely phenomenal!!! I could eat that for my meal, it was so good! They also have many types of ceviche which I loved, and tried the grouper ceviche. It was great!
For our meals we got the blackened snapper, the scallops, the lobster mac and cheese and lobster meal (which we didn’t realize came on a bed of noodles… not much lobster lol) – everything was hot, came out timely and the service was awesome. Will definitely return and highly recommend you try it and bring an empty stomach! 🙂

Great atmosphere and service with really good food. I had the Frutti Di Mare, which is seafood cavatelli pasta. Not really sure why it was named that. See attached pic. Made with what seemed like house made pasta and plenty of shrimp, calamari, scallops, and even a little fish of the day. First and foremost this dish was HOT temperature. I appreciate having a good hot fresh meal. Now it was also spicy to a comfortable level for me, similar to a jalapeño level. Over all very good but pricy and could have had a slightly lower ratio of pasta. I suppose that should be expected for a hotel restaurant. Really that was the only reason i didn’t give the food 5 stars, however the other three friends would say theirs was 5 stars, but of course I picked up the tab lol.

Also want to add we all had some of the speciality drinks that were delicious. The Grinning Tarpon was great.

Tarpon Bay Seafood at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa is a dining experience that perfectly complements the resort’s luxurious ambiance. Visiting during December, the holiday spirit is in full effect, with festive decor lighting up the lobby and creating a magical atmosphere. The resort itself is a sight to behold, from the grand lobby to the serene pools and cascading waterfalls. It’s an experience worth exploring before settling in for dinner.

Our meal began with three exquisite ceviche samples—Salmon, Shrimp, and Snapper—each offering fresh, vibrant flavors that set the tone for the evening. The Lobster Bisque was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned, a standout starter. The Snapper Diablo delivered a delightful kick of spice, balancing its tender, flaky texture beautifully. The scallops, cooked to perfection, were another highlight, earning a special mention for their buttery flavor and melt-in-your-mouth quality.

The restaurant’s ambiance was relaxed yet vibrant, ideal for a sophisticated yet comfortable dining experience. The air was filled with the enticing aroma of fresh seafood, and the attentive service added to the overall enjoyment. Tarpon Bay Seafood earns a solid 9/10 for its combination of incredible food, stunning atmosphere, and the perfect setting for a memorable evening. A must-visit for seafood lovers!

Klement was such an amazing server. We came to celebrate our 15-year anniversary and were greeted with smiles from everyone. The food was absolutely superb, and the Whole Fried Snapper was seriously the best I’ve had since I left California.

Food was great and so was the service. It is pricey and it is at a resort so if you are looking for intimate dining this is not it. Lots of families on vacation. I personally like low key but some people do not. Decor is shiplap walls, polished concrete floors very casual for the price point. Staff goes above and beyond. Fish was very fresh , portions are not huge but artfully presented. The gentleman that brought over my wife hot bread and butter told her she “ deserved it” when she thanked him. My wife thought that was the nicest thing because he was so sincere ( his name was Jean). I would recommend the shrimp cocktail, three large shrimp seasoned in old bay and homemade spicy cocktail sauce. They do offer specials with appetizers, dinner and dessert and wine flights. View is beautiful, definitely worth checking out.
