We didn’t snag any photos of our food, but it was delicious! I had the homemade waffles that had the crunchy edges, small roasted potatoes, and scrambled eggs.
Everything in the menu looked fresh, and simple.

The wait was kind of long 10 mins. I say long 10 mins because there wasn’t a host at the counterand it wasnt busy at all either. It seemed the host was also the waitress. She greeted me and told me to sit anywhere I opted for a booth. Iooked over the menu and decided on the chicken and waffles with eggs, fruit, and an iced coffee hold the liquor. It took a while for the food to come 30 mins about and when it did the eggs weren’t with it. She said she’d be back with them and when a few mins had gone by I decided to eat what was there because I didn’t want it to get cold. She came back and asked how everything was. It was very delicious despite not having the eggs. But tbh it would have been too much for me anyway. What I had was perfect. She apologized, I told her it was fine, because it was. I will definitely be coming back again soon. Hopefully I dont have to wait as long to be seated. I truly enjoyed the food and the chicken was in the shape of a heart. Love.

Went to Wakey Wakey expecting great breakfast due to it’s close relationship with the Twisted Tree Restaurant. I’m truly sorry that I have to write such a scathing review. First of all the breakfast area is actually the bar lounge and lobby area of the Twisted Tree and Holiday Inn. I’ve had a better eating atmosphere in the breakfast area of a Residence Inn. Speaking of Residence Inn, I’ve also had better waffles and bacon that I made myself in their “free” breakfast with the purchase of a hotel room. We had four people in our party and none of us liked the waffles (way too sweet) or bacon. Can’t believe Wakey hangs it’s reputation on these two items which are part of almost every item on their limited menu. Coffee was good, but could have been hotter and so could the waffles that would not even melt my butter pat. Maybe the waffles weren’t hot because it took forever for the food to come to the table when there were only two other tables with people. Our plates must have been under a warming light and someone forgot to tell our waiter the food order was ready to deliver. The waffle portions were huge, but when you don’t really like what you’re eating, you leave enough on your plate that it looks like you didn’t even touch your food. And of course, we did not ask for a box to take anything home. Can’t say I will be back for four breakfasts that cost over $80 with tax and tip. Sorry Wakey. Wake up and smell the coffee. You need improvements.

As I sit here at my table and write this review, it angers me to see such an opportunity wasted. The atmosphere is nice. It has a cool vibe. I sat near the bar and could hear the two employees taking trash about every customer who steps into the restaurant. On top of that, their snarky attitude (two guys, one white, one black, morning of 07/29) ruins the little good this place has going for it. I ordered a breakfast sandwich that I served with sausage. When my sausage came out red in the middle and I brought it to the waiters attention, his snarky reply was “well that’s how we always serve it” which was interesting. Considering I’ve never seen ground pork served mediumish.
If you’re staying at the hotel, avoid this place.
You have to do better. It’s sad to see. Truly.

Stopped here, out of town for the Metallica concert. Not busy at all. This place is delicious!! The restaurant is attached to the Holiday Inn and the Twisted Fire steakhouse, which we didn’t get the pleasure of trying.
I had the twisted waffles, which were covered in caramel bourbon sauce. So so good! The breakfast potatoes were amazing!!
We had Adrianna as our waitress and she was 4 foot 11 of spunkiness and smiles! Would love to come back here anytime we are in town!!

These two young gentlemen, Juliyen and Sam! I can tell they enjoy being around people ! All smiles and great conversation. Waffles were okay but they made the atmosphere enjoyable with their welcoming personalities! Had a rough week before and they brightened it.

Very limited menu and the food was just ok. Everything had a slightly weird spice/flavor. I think they are trying to be innovative and the flavors aren’t working. Example – i had chicken and waffles. At first the waffle was good, but they had put some kind of cayenne butter under it, so I only ate the edges. The chicken was crispy and the breading was good, chicken was super bland, needed salt and pepper under breading. Potatoes looked nice, tasted just weird, like they had breadcrumbs on them. Coffee was bland and watery.

First the positive—I liked the bacon, good flavor, perfectly cooked. Eggs were a very odd consistency with the yolk hardened. Service was friendly but poor. Waitress disappeared. We ordered coffee and we had to track the waitress down to get it. Limited menu and expensive for mediocre food. And the music was loud. Very loud. Very odd atmosphere. Won’t return. Ever.

We ate 2 days in a row while staying in the holiday inn. The first day we waited over an hour for food. The food was ok but not worth the wait. The 2nd day we waited over an hour for cold food. I ordered the eggs Benedict and by the time I received it was cold. It took about 1 hours and 45 to completely finish. They made a mistake on our check and took them forever to fix it. I finally had to walk to the bar to get it taken care of. I would not recommend especially if you are on schedule

Should probably take the eggs Benedict off the menu. We barely ate it and thought it was gross. Bread was soggy and the sauce was curdled. My wakey wakey burger was delicious but hard to mess that up.
Service was poor for a restaurant like that. I dont think our server smiled once and didn’t seem like she wanted to be there.
Atmosphere could use some work too. It’s way too dark for a breakfast place and I didn’t like that you could see people working behind the half wall or whatever that was. Just didn’t seem to fit the vibe of the place.
Overall, would ultimately recommend going across the street to the Denny’s if you’re staying at the holiday inn.
