I finally tried it. I was excited and had checked the menu before going.
I was disappointed to see they had most of what I had seen online except the one I was looking for.
Anyhow >> I tried the 301. It was made quickly. When I came home and had it was warm enough. There were good toppings but I would have liked a little bit more. Overall good sandwich – will definitely try the other vegan sandwiches
Because it’s located in a very busy shopping center, especially at dinner time, it can be difficult to find parking, and there is not ‘takeout’ parking reserved except two curbside spots that are pretty difficult to use.
Food is made really quickly and tastes very fresh. The dirty sauce is good on everything my family has tried.
The bread is also very good, I like the sourdough.
The prices are a touch higher at this location as all the meat is certified Halal.
Also, I know to be completely true to Halal, this location does not serve pork, and while I respect that, I really do miss bacon. Also, the ham is not noted as being non-pork on the website. The bacon is noted as being veggie-based and the salami is noted as beef, but it would be useful to note what the ham is made of instead of pork. (Because it is present on at least one sandwich)
From the moment I took my first bite, I knew I was in for a treat. The combination of flavors was nothing short of extraordinary, with each ingredient complementing the next in perfect harmony. The succulent hallal chicken paired beautifully with the sweet and tangy honey mustard and BBQ sauce, while the trio of cheeses added a creamy richness that elevated the sandwich to new heights.
What truly impressed me was the attention to detail and quality of ingredients. Ike’s Sandwiches prides itself on using only the freshest and finest ingredients, and it certainly shows in every bite. Each component of the Menage a Trois was bursting with flavor, making for a truly decadent dining experience.
As a new addition to the area, Ike’s Sandwiches brings a breath of fresh air to Fremont’s culinary scene. The vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and mouthwatering sandwiches make it a must-visit destination for locals and visitors alike.
Whether you’re craving a quick bite or looking to indulge in a culinary adventure, Ike’s Sandwiches is sure to satisfy. I highly recommend stopping by their new location in Fremont and treating yourself to one of their delicious creations. You won’t be disappointed!
They have such a broad choice of vegetarian sandwiches, i ordered a vegan sandwich with 2 proteins and as they made my sandwich i told them to put jalapenos n sauces etc, when i went home opened the sandwich 60% of it was just bread … and they rest was just so less protein and so so so dry and bland like not even salted …
I paid $19 for one sandwich it wasnt worth even half that money … the taste of the vegan meats was so good but i wish they did a better job with the sauces and fillings …
Big fan of Ike’s and have been to several locations around the Bay and out of state. My wife and I recently moved to Fremont and were excited to find that we had an Ike’s!
We went last week on a Saturday late afternoon and ordered our go-to Hunter Pence on Dutch Crunch. After sitting down and eating for about 5 minutes, we noticed 1. Abnormally small portion of meat -which is out of character for Ike’s and 2. extremely pink bacon. When I asked the employee about the pink bacon, she informed me that it was veggie bacon. I asked if they were out of normal bacon, and she responded that this location is a Halal location and that they have no pork. So then I asked if the turkey was real turkey and she said, it’s close to real turkey, but not real turkey. I have no idea what that means. I was stunned and confused for multiple reasons. I looked at the menu in the store and at the signage around the store, but no mention anywhere of being Halal-exclusive. When we left I looked at the windows and signage on the outside of the store, again, no mention of being Halal.
The experience was frustrating for two reasons:
1. No communication: Nowhere in the store, nor at any point did any of the 3 employees helping us mention that they only served Halal sandwiches, which significantly changes the experience. I think its unreasonable for me to be obligated to ask ahead of time if they only serve Halal, when every other Ike’s serves a full selection of meat. Some simple communication from the employees or signage in the store would have prevented this whole thing.
2. Skimpy portions of Halal approved meat: I don’t understand why they can’t have Halal meat and regular meat in the same location. Ike’s everywhere else does a fantastic job of giving hearty portions of real meat, but for some reason this location gave skimpy portions of Halal approved meat.
Anyways, won’t be going back to this location unfortunately.
