We found that this Cracker Barrel Old Country Store was a really good spot to eat. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm, comfortable and inviting. The food is very good, served piping hot and they have a nice selection. Our server was friendly but could have been a bit more attentive. The old store section is also well stocked and fun to look through.

Our waitress was useless. She had no clue as to what the menu offerings were. I ordered the Uncle Herschel’s Favorite Breakfast. The menu said it came with 2 eggs, biscuits and gravy, grits and one side. I told our waitress I wanted Country Ham. She says you get two sides and I read her what the menu said so I said grits, she says so you want both sides to be grits. I read her the menu again and she says again well you get two sides, I said Country Ham would be one and grits would be the other and she says again you get two sides. I told her just forget the second side. That really confused her. She left she came back later with or oder minus the biscuits and gravy and said is there anything else I can get you and I said my biscuits and gravy and she looked confused but final said I will get them for you and left. About 5 minutes later she comes back and says they are out of biscuits but the cook was going to make some but didn’t no how long it would be. I looked at her disgusted and said I want my order. She says what do you want. I said the manager. A few minutes later a female comes out says sorry for the wait what can I do for you. I had to go through everything over again. I said you get biscuits with almost every meal so its hard to believe a cook would let them run out. She says that she wasn’t the manager. The manager was busy and asked her to handle the situation. She then said she wasn’t even suppose to be here she wasn’t even on the clock but was helping the manager. She said she would go back and check to see what the problem was. A few minutes later she came back and said the oven said there was 6 minutes left and asked what I wanted to do. I told her it would take me that long to finish what had so bring me the biscuits when their done. It was way longer than 6 minutes because it was long after I finished my meal and another girl brought my biscuits and gravy. I never did see a manager and our waitress never apologized for anything. It’s a good thing we were just passing through because we will never go back. I guess bringing back the barrel logo was not the only thing they needed to fix at that location

This very clean Cracker Barrel had fabulous pancakes. I had the peach and whipped cream topping. Our server Chris did a great job of making it pretty. He also kept our coffee cups full. We asked for crispy hashbrowns, and that is the way they were cooked. The store gift shop was very well stocked. Easy on and off of I-12 with a large parking lot. We had a restful night despite the traffic noise. Love Cracker Barrel on our trip west.
DO NOT LIKE THAT THE LOGO WAS CHANGED, put UNCLE HERSCHEL BACK

Updated review: friendly service. Very clean. Cashier had issues checking me out.

This place was packed on a Saturday morning. Clean restrooms. Friendly service. Got the biscuits and gravy with bacon and sausage. Plenty of decor for your home.

Come by about 1:30. Service started off really friendly and prompt but then just started to dwindle. Ordered the Tuesday special, country fried pork chops. After a few minutes was informed they didn’t have any thawed. Switched to the meatloaf which was served cold. Waited patiently for what they are known for, the biscuits and cornbread. Was informed the lady that made them had stepped out. Now I know cracker barrel has been going through branding issues and we mainly stopped by to show our support for the brand. Not having biscuits and cornbread on the standby is like dairy queen being out of ice cream! Get back to the basics and people will come back. The country store was good as i remember it. Bathroom needed attention but it could be they were finishing up lunch???. The people were as friendly as always. The product needs some attention.

I visited Cracker Barrel Old Country Store a few weeks ago with my sister. The dining experience was wonderful. My sister & I both ordered baked fish, and our sides consisted of the delicious cheesy hash brown potato casserole, green beans, and baked potato. The atmosphere is very warm & inviting, and of course we enjoyed browsing the country store before & after our meal. I love looking at all the merchandise, & the assortment of candy is over the top. You can easily spend two hours over here. I can’t wait to come back’

It’s been over a year since I have visited one of these.
Something about it gives you that familiar feeling
And it’s still a reasonable price considering everywhere else is price gouging since covid

This particular location has been recently renovated and all of the old timey antiques that used to hang from the ceiling in the store are now gone…
There is still plenty of old-timey things on the shelves and walls to look at but no more cluttered ceiling
And it goes without saying you will always find something in the store that you didn’t know you wanted
I have a puppy
It’s perfect for a solo nomad traveler.

Oh yeah, and endless beverage including a roadie cup

Average at best… what used to be a warm quaint country restaurant has turned into an overcrowded loud restaurant with average food and service.
I haven’t been in a while and decided to go for my old favorite… Mama’s pancake breakfast.
It started with trying to maneuver through the over stuffed shelves and small walkways in the front retail area.
I was seated and brought flat ware in a brown paper bag… the fork & knife were both not clean, so I requested another set.
I ordered coffee “black”… which came with a saucer full of creamer and a spoon already placed in the coffee. Given the first set of flat ware was dirty, I was not too pleased with this presentation.
I ordered the breakfast, which came out very promptly. Mama’s breakfast was not as I remembered. The eggs and sausage were over cooked. The pancakes were heavy & dry with a dollop of frozen butter on top.
The server was ok, but seemed hurried. I never saw her again after she took my order and I was never offered a refill on my coffee.

Cracker Barrel seems more interested in selling rocking chairs, gifts and gadgets than focusing on quality and service which made them a success in the past.

I don’t ask for much when I eat out, I would like it to be clean, I would like it to be hot, I would like it to be tasty and I would like some service.

I did not get any of these at this Cracker Barrel.

the plates where not clean, the food was cold (The gravy was so thick it wouldn’t run, you had to spoon it). The manager (or someone) had to tell the waitress to bring us our drinks. the corn and the mashed potatoes had no taste at all. bathroom smelled bad and the floor was sticky. The menu had the wrong price and they would not honor the menu price which was less. missing part of our order.
