We started at the bar with some drinks, a Blanton’s and then Bardstown White Label. They were just OK for me, I love tha Black Label Bardstown.
We then got the Volcano Rock Shrimp with the Volcano Sauce, Spiced Peanuts, and scallions. Good appetizer to start.
We were seated in the bar area at a cozy table. We both got the Filet Mignon. A Filet should be able to cut with a fork imo, I couldn’t cut this one. The steak was not tough, just not fork tender or melt in your mouth. I was not expecting it to come stacked with the Demi Glacé on top of the steak. A filet I like plain and want to taste the quality of beef, not mask it. You cover a sirloin in Demi Glacé, just a plain filet. The steak still had really good flavor and was cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes and broccolini were excellent with the steak. The tobacco onions were a nice surprise. I would get this again, but with the Demi Glacé on the side. The whipped potatoes were very smooth and excellent with the Demi Glacé.
The staff were all friendly and professional. I would definitely come back and try other dishes.
Outstanding experience from start to finish at The Finch. Every dish we ordered was excellent—beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. From the appetizers to the entrées, everything hit the mark and exceeded expectations.
The cocktails and mocktails were thoughtfully crafted and perfectly balanced, and the food was consistently impressive across the board. It’s clear the kitchen takes pride in quality and execution.
A huge shoutout to our server Savanna F—she was absolutely spot on. Attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable.

On top of the food, our server Nathaniel was amazing, attentive, friendly, and completely on point all night, which really elevated the experience.
We highly recommend Finch to anyone visiting Nashville who wants a great restaurant experience. Also, don’t skip the Early Bird drink special, especially if you love espresso martinis to end the night. Totally worth it.
My only complaint was the wedge salad, which I had to send back.
I would recommend this place as a great spot to start an evening downtown, and I’ll definitely be back for the cocktails.
The Finch overdelivered in every way. The atmosphere and music are perfect—you can actually hear each other talk! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I left feeling full, healthy, and genuinely happy.

The Prime Rib plate was excellent. The Shrimp Scampi was swimming in oil and had little flavor. The top half layer of our side of Brussels Sprouts was crispy and tasty. The other half was saturated in oil and inedible.
This was a birthday celebration and the restaurant honored that with a card they have laying in a pile at the hostess station.
Our group of 8 stopped for dinner and drinks on a Monday night in November, 2025. There was a 30 minute wait to be seated but we found enough seating at the bar in about 10 minutes and enjoyed our meal there instead.
Alex was an excellent bartender and knowledgeable server and pointed us in the right direction when it came to entrees.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our food selections: French Onion Soup, French Dip Sandwich, Shrimp and Grits – all great!
After we enjoyed our meal, the creme brulee was a hit for dessert!
