This was a great surprise…just off I-95. Quaint decor, excellent service, and great BBQ. We had the hog ‘n’ slaw – pulled pork with cole slaw between two slices of TX Toast. Good selection of sauces – sweet and spicy – served in portion size packets. Very nice spot for lunch- I also hear the breakfast entrees are outstanding.

The food was good, and service was fast and friendly. We weren’t aware it was a chain. Don’t know if we will make it a point to come back as it was a stop along a trip. I had the pulled pork and ribs. Both were tender and tasty. Their Hog-n-Gold sauce was really good.

15 Jun ‘24 0955 changing my five star review yesterday to three today, and that’s being generous. Ordered the two egg platter with sausage, grits, and biscuit. The grits and the biscuit were both so undercooked it was just terrible. The grits were grainy, no where near smooth and the biscuit was just raw. In the garbage. Yesterday was awesome, today was a waste of $7.69. Will not be stopping in on my next visit to this town.
14 Jun ‘24 0915 ordered at drive through. Two egg platter scrambled with bacon, grits, and biscuit. $7.69 including tax, can’t beat that. Grits were seasoned perfectly. Big biscuit was delicious. Must have been some big chicken eggs ‘cause my plate was full of eggs. Enjoyed very much.

Its not bad, the chicken was hot and juicy, the sauces are good.The restaurant was clean. A person can eat here and get a quality meal thats less expensive than at a fast food place.

My husband was having surgery today and I went over to get him some essential recovery food…ordered 2 blueberry biscuits (they had a full pan) and sat down. About 15 minutes later I was told they sold out. Someone in the drive-thru got my post op gift. I was a little upset since I had just seen 2 dozen of them. When I explained that I really needed them for a patient…they made me a fresh pan. With a get well note.. outstanding customer service, above and beyond. Gods chicken ain’t got nothing on gods BBQ and breakfast.

I went to visit today for the first and last time. I initially requested the greek salad with no tomatoes. I was informed that the tomatoes are already mixed into the salad and could not be removed. I then ordered the pecan salad. I opened the salad as I was driving off and was very unimpressed. Never the less, I proceeded to try the salad with the thought of never judge a book by its cover. About half way through, I looked down and saw a fly in my salad. It was literally stuck to the side of the bowl, as if it had been there for a while. I made my way back to the restaurant, only for the general manager to walk out of the office very nonchalantly and asked if I wanted another salad and then proceeded to tell me that this has never happened since he’s been with the company. I advised him that it was my first and last time. I am in total disgust.

I went here on my lunch break today, and was not disappointed! Great bbq, speedy service, and very kind staff. I had my food at my table in less than 3 minutes after I ordered it. I ordered the Texas bbq sandwich combo. They have Pepsi products and 3 teas: sweet unsweet, and peach. I had the peach tea and it was awesome! Definitely will come back again.

I recently visited this restaurant about a month ago. And omg… they have the best ribs in town!! And they also serve breakfast. And the steak biscuit is very good!! So if you live in the area or just traveling through you should definitely give them a try at least once. I really think that you will be glad you did!! Well I hope that you enjoy this place as much as I do. I have eaten there 1 to 2 times a week since I went there the first time. That’s how good the ribs are. Oh, and the onion pedals are very good too….Enjoy!!!

Went back for lunch and OMG – have to give them a real bump up. I had the hog-n-slaw sandwich and that was freaking GOOD! No bbq sauce needed! The folks at the drive thru service were outstanding and friendly! Kudos to this location – don’t stop doing what you do!
Still disappointed in that breakfast bowl, the eggs were good but the portion size was WAY off from what the photo on the menu is. But I’ll continue going back and trying all the different menu items.

I always order the chicken salad sandwich and it used to be very good with plenty of chicken salad on it but the last few times I’ve ordered it there’s barely any chicken salad on it and they fill it up with lettuce & tomato. So today I ordered it with NO lettuce and tomato and it has a small scoop of chicken salad and they still added bunch of lettuce. I probably won’t be ordering it again.
