I’ve been eating at Shaaz Indian Cuisine since they first opened, and the taste has always been consistently amazing. Recently, I tried the Chitti Paneer Karahi and the Hara Masala Karahi, and both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, perfectly balanced, and full of authentic taste.
I’ve also tried their Shaaz OG Karahi and Sulemani Karahi before, and those were equally great.
One thing I really appreciate is that the taste has never changed over the years—it’s always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Shaaz has become one of my go-to places whenever I’m craving good Indian food.
Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic and tasty karahi dishes!

Dine in on a snow storm day . We were the only group in the restaurant , given the storm day . we were a group of 10 adults and 4 kids . Ordered many dishes .
Fry piece Briyani – better at markham shaaz.
Mutton Mandi , chicken Mandi , fish Mandi ( family pack) – the rice is same flavor if you want to have a taste just order one . Mutton cooked well . Fish is good .
Mushroom grill – non spicy , good for kids .
Grilled chicken , tandoori – portion is like Costco rotisserie. Good one as this is the first time I m trying here .
Desserts – less options .
Gulab jamun – perfect, Junnu – was okay , rasamalai- okay .
Eating gulab jamun first just mask all other sweet flavour due to extreme sweetness.

We had a wonderful dining experience tonight! We started with the mutton marag soup, which was flavorful and comforting. The garlic naan continues to be our favorite — we always make sure to order it. The Daba style chicken curry was also delicious and well-balanced.
We finished with the ghee roast chicken mandi, which was slightly underwhelming — it lacked the rich ghee flavor we loved in the mutton ghee roast mandi we had previously. While tasty, it didn’t quite meet our expectations this time.
The standout part of the evening was our waiter, Faraz. He was incredibly thoughtful, attentive, and efficient. His ability to build rapport and deliver excellent customer service truly elevated our experience. When we mentioned a missing piece of naan, he immediately took care of it with a smile — such a rare and appreciated touch!
Overall, a great meal with a few minor misses, but the service by Faraz made it memorable. Highly recommend for both the food and the exceptional service!

The flavors were rich yet not overpowering, the ghee aroma was perfectly controlled, and the paneer was cooked just right—soft, flavorful, and indulgent without being heavy. It was clear that a lot of thought and experience went into crafting this dish, and it honestly set a very high expectation for the rest of the meal.
The fry piece chicken mandi, however, didn’t quite live up to that benchmark. While the rice and overall presentation were decent, the fry piece itself felt a bit disconnected from the dish. The chicken seemed to be cooked separately and added later, and the “fry” element didn’t really come through as expected. The flavors leaned more toward a mild gravy rather than a robust, well-fried component that usually defines this dish. It wasn’t bad, but it felt like it could have been more cohesive and bold.
That said, I fully respect every chef’s creativity and individual cooking style. Food is subjective, and each kitchen has its own interpretation. With the level of execution shown in the paneer ghee roast, I’m confident that small refinements to this dish could elevate it significantly.
I would definitely return, especially to explore more of the menu, as the potential here is clearly strong.

The mutton shank was absolutely incredible — the flavor was crazy good and cooked perfectly. Definitely a must-try if you visit.

Had a fantastic dine in experience at this restaurant. The Chicken 65 was excellent, and the classic Chicken Tikka Masala with Roomali Roti was absolutely spot on. The Mutton Ghee Roast Mandi is a must-try, rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked.
A big shoutout to the chefs for maintaining top-notch quality even during the busy rush hours. The only thing to note each dish takes at least 20 minutes to prepare, so plan ahead and order before you run out of food.

Always a great experience at Shaaz! We got the Mutton Marag Soup (a must have! We get it every time we come here), the Garlic Naans (best in town in my opinion), the Dhaba style Chicken Curry and the Chicken Ghee Roast Mandi! All the dishes were exquisite as usual!
This time around, Faraz was an excellent host and attended to us with care!
The best thing about Shaaz is it’s a sit down restaurant with great food and great service and they always take the tip prompt off before handing you the card reader! As long as they do this I’m going to keep coming back!!!

Delicious mandis, we tried their popular goat mandi which was delicious. The meat portion is surprisingly smaller than expected for the portion served. We also tried their murgh afghani chicken which was delicious and their garlic naan. When we arrived they weren’t super busy (around 2-3pm). The booths are comfier than the tables (the chairs were so awkward) but cleanliness can definitely be improved. The booth seats and under the table should be wiped down and swept between guests, not just the table.

I came here today at a reservation for 15 at 7:30pm. All the food was amazing and tasted very good. So far, I really loved the experience of dine in, In the photos I’m showing you are the Afghan Mandi Rice, Chicken Mandi Rice, Mutton Ghee Roast Mandi Rice. I really loved the food and service was amazing, kind staff. There is plenty of parking. Waiter was Faraz. Very Kind, Good Waiter.
