Through word of mouth, we heard of this restaurant. One word, AWESOME! For an appetizer, we had fried cheese with a side of guava to dip the cheese in. For the entree we had arroz con gandules (yellow rice with pigeon peas), pernil (roast pork) with pasteles (Pasteles is often kept as is in English, or described as a “Puerto Rican tamale” or “wrapped meat dish”). For dessert, we had a dish called “flan con queso” (in English as “cheese flan” or “cream cheese flan,” which is a rich, caramel-topped custard dessert with a cheesecake-like texture from adding cream cheese to the traditional recipe). Everything was delicious! The server was Dulce who was super friendly and provided great service. They had a singer named Alberto Torres who rocked the house! I can’t believe we never heard of this place and we don’t live very far from it. We’re definitely coming back! To the owner, please keep up the great word and I’ll spread the word about this place! Great job! Great food! Great music!

First timers and we had an amazing time. Our waitress ALANNYS was attentive, informative in reference to the dishes, desserts and drinks. We had five couples and each came at different times but she took care of everyone. It was a busy night with a live band who posted it on line. Angel Martinez and Tropical Vibes made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend thelis place. There is plenty of parking and it’s family friendly.

This restaurant is phenomenal! The staff is pleasant and helpful, the food is exquisite, the music and atmosphere is delightful, the location is conveniently located in a safe zone, and they have ample free parking. My wife and I just rented the whole restaurant to celebrate a special occasion and we were thrilled on how the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and help us make the experience truly memorable. The owner, Steven, personally worked the menu with us and two of the staff members, Crystal and Dulce were particularly helpful in suggesting how best to set up the restaurant to maximize the experience. The DJ had all types of music available and was readily able to play the music best fitted for the party’s theme. I highly recommend “Como en Casa” for either a quiet dinner date at a Puertorican restaurant or even to rent the whole restaurant for your special occasion.

We celebrated my mother’s 80th birthday at Como en Casa Restaurant in Oviedo on Saturday, January 17, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! The owners were extremely pleasant and easy to work with, helping us create a preset menu, accommodate our decorations, and deliver amazing food and outstanding service. Everything was wonderful from start to finish. We highly recommend Como en Casa for family gatherings and milestone celebrations. Thank you for making this such a memorable event!

This was crazy at 4 pm. This place was completely empty. Yes, I should have walked out
But as a food critic and a person who is willing to give anyone a chance, I decided to stay
Ok, so here’s my honest review the food was very well plated the salad on the food was good
The steak was horrible, and it was severely outdated. The rice was dry far from fresh the mofongo was ok at best the fried pork was ok at best the fried chicken was actually pretty good the yuca fries was good the acapuria was actually delicious
The server was a true pleasure she was very professional and kind
The steak was so bad i had to mention it to them, and to their credit, they did remove it from the bill
I would not recommend this place
Sorry, I was hoping to be able to give you a better rating, but it was that bad

Today, I decided to grab lunch at this restaurant with a close friend. He opted for the skirt steak while I chose the pork chops. Needless to say, we both savored every bite. Our server, Angeli, was incredibly friendly, and the restaurant itself was impressively spacious and spotless. Not to mention, there’s a charming bar area too. The artistic decor celebrating Puerto Rican culture truly caught my eye. The restrooms were also well-maintained. This hidden gem not only offers delicious authentic Puerto Rican cuisine but also hosts live music and karaoke. I’ll definitely be returning to this fantastic spot.

Dulce has been our waiter a couple of times and she is fantastic, greeting all incoming customers and paying attention to preferences and likes. The food is authentic and of good quality. Pina colada is good. Octopus with mofongo is my favorite! Pana Tostones are addictive
