We traveled to the thetford Raj from Norwich on a recommendation from a friend who lives in the local area. We went on a Thursday banquet night (which they have on every Wednesday and Thursday)and it was a wonderful experience, everything was exceptional! The quality of food was very high with generous portion sizes and the staff were very friendly and accommodating! I would highly recommend those to all indian food lovers, you wont be disappointed! Value for money at its best.

Neve again. First time ordering from here, the lamb curry was tough, Dry and chewy. The sauce was like water as you can see in the photo, the food was swimming in it. The lamb madras was the same. Dry and awful. The lamb samosa was soggy and undercooked. Won’t be using this place again. What a waste of a lot of money.

We have been coming here for dinner for a number of years now and have not been disappointed once. The food is absolutely delicious, the portion sizes are good, the service is so friendly and the prices are exceptionally reasonable. We have brought so many friends and family here and they have all loved it. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Booked for a Valentine’s meal. Arrived 7pm, very busy. Had popadoms and drinks to start. Ordered Lamb Shirazi & Lamb Korai with Garlic Naans & pilao rice. My wife and I finished every last piece and had a dessert to round off the meal. The bill was surprisingly small given our experiences in other places (there was only one alcoholic drink mind). Despite being extremely busy, staff were very attentive and there wasn’t any long wait for the food. It was one of the best Indian meals we’ve had and look forward to visiting again.

Very pleased with our dinner. Ordered a variety of dishes: 4 entrees, pilau, breads, and raita. The biryani and tandoori were excellent, just delicious.
For a mid-week special, the banquet was very generous for it’s value, it was just a lot for 4 people.
Service was a little slow, even before the serious evening crowd showed up. Parking on a weeknight was a generally OK but there were lots of cars on the street parking for the futbol practice across the street.

We took visiting family members to Thetford Raj on Sunday evening for the buffet, food was delicious, piping hot, good variety. Service was excellent, professional yet friendly. We noticed they won an award for best Indian restaurant in Norfolk & well deserved in my opinion!

We stayed in Thetford, yesterday evening and walked into the restaurant without a booking, it was honestly the best food we have had in ages. Extremely tasty and fresh, the service was quick and the guys were attentive. We would highly recommend a visit.

This is a 10/10 Indian ! First impressions, bright , clean and a very friendly welcome. All our food was amazing. . I loved my Kofta Chilli Masala and the Saag Aloo & Mushroom Bhaji sides were probably one of the best I’ve ever had. My work mate loved his Chicken Tikka Vindaloo and the naan was just how we like them. It was quiet as we came here late but all the staff took time to talk to us and were very professional. Really enjoyed it and we will definitely return next time we are in the area.
