It was great and busy, young staff, a little more attention from staff to customers would help to ensure proper orders. I ordered cheese in top of my hot dogs every ride I come in, specifically and they never get it right without me taking my time to go back and try to get the problem corrected – if I have time. Not sure this is my go to spot anymore. Sorry.
I went back today 12/16/25. Same issues , staff not listening to customers orders for specifics, as simple as cheese on top of the hotdogs and now the shakes apparently the machine makes a huge divet in the middle thatbtook 15 minutes unfornately no i didnt want a remake at that time, by the time I decided to leave, and just chucked the shake they had given me in the trash > I hope it was seen! Won’t be back…..

Don’t know if they were just having an off day or just not able to keep up with their volume, but this Dairi-O pales in comparison to their other locations.
It does appear to be very clean in the parking lot and the queue area of the lobby, but all throughout the restaurant were dirty tables and seats, sticky floors, and general disregard for their central drink island. Some of that can be attributed to a poorly designed layout, but that could be remedied with a little attention and care.
The shortcomings in cleanliness are definitely reflected in their hospitality. Jaden at the register would benefit from a crash course in enthusiasm. This would be my first robotic interaction with someone at a Dairi-O; but again, maybe just an off day.
Overall, this location leaves a bit to be desired. Their food is really hard to mess up, so that’s a freebie — but given that there are other Dairi-Os in the vicinity, we may have to try a different one next time.

I recently moved from North Carolina to Maryland, but while visiting NC for the weekend, I was really craving Dairi-O after not having it for so long. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. We usually go to the Mooresville location, which has always been excellent — friendly service, consistently good food, and a clean atmosphere. Sadly, this location was the complete opposite.
The person at the register seemed uninterested and unfriendly compared to what I’m used to at Mooresville. The drink machines were dirty, the drinks themselves were flat, and the floors were so sticky that our shoes literally stuck with every step. On top of that, my hot dogs came out cold.
Overall, it was such a letdown. I don’t see myself coming back to this location again and will definitely stick to the Mooresville Dairi-O moving forward.

It’s a ABSOLUTELY YES for me! My best friend brought me here while I was visiting and honestly, the place was packed but once I took my first bite- everyone disappeared! My burger was made to perfection. It didn’t stand a chance. My hot dog as well. I didn’t try the chili but I will next time! The toasted buns took it to another level and I appreciated that the most. Also, crinkle cut fries are top tier!

Came here for the very first time and was excited to try it out. I got chili cheese fries, and my boyfriend and daughter shared a banana split. It was pretty good. And the service was good, not too long of a wait.
Came back to try something different. We got chicken tenders and onion rings both were very tasty. I love how the tenders taste like real meat. Also had the crispy chicken sandwich it was good as well. The sweet tea was a bit too sweet though.

Dair-o! I never heard of this place since there are none in Columbus, Ohio. We were looking for a place to eat. It was late at night and we needed a place to seat 8 people. We decided to give a try. This place was super packed and lots of kids! The menu was super diverse. From gyros to burgers, wings to hot dogs, shakes to ice cream… I had no idea what to order. Despite how busy it was, the lines were quick, and we got our food right away. I got a chicken souvlaki. My friends got hot dogs and tenders. They food was good. It was fresh. I definitely recommend trying it at least once. It was noisy at the time we went. It’s a family fast food restaurant with budget friendly options.

I went to Darrio to get my son and I something to eat. I didn’t realize as i was ordering the price versus size of my order of fruit. Their fruit cup with tax is almost $4.00 ?!!?!?!! It is very tiny. I’m thinking that this was going to be big, but it is tiny. Chick-fil-A fruit cup is cheaper and bigger than this. I feel Darrio should consider increasing the size or decreasing the price. This is not even $1.25 at most. It really is that small. I’m very disappointed in this.

This Dario’s has serious quality control issues with its soft serve. l’ll never get ice cream from this location again. Today, my cup of soft serve had remnants of an ice cream cone in it. And, there was an unknown white wire or maybe a dog hair or SOMETHING in my soft serve!!! My orders are never completely correct at this location. Either there is no requested extra chili on my loaded bun, or the strawberry ice cream has ice crystals the size of icebergs or my unsalted fries are almost raw, or my large soft serve cup contains the same amount of ice cream as my child’s small cup of ice cream… weird.

Update 7-29-24 I still recommend this location. Quick service at lunch for dine-in. The double drive-through line was quite busy again today. Original August 2, 2022 our first visit to Dairi O and certainly NOT our last! I highly recommend this location it is hospitable staff is efficient, and the food tastes fresh and delicious. Joel smilingly and patiently took our order ensuring we know all available options which was appreciated. We were not rushed to make our selections. I had the Cod Fish sandwich and Chili Cheese Fries (the chili is not spiy which I found to be great). While he had a Hot Dog, French Fries, pulld pork and Lemonade. Ashley was kind too, she offered to come around the counter to take our photo when she saw us trying to take it ourselves. My nostalgic gaze at the menu with ice cream, floats, and shakes was so tempting although I was full from the food.
Great atmosphere! I highly recommend visiting this location. There is also a drive-thru with agents on the outside of the building assisting with order taking (even outside the order window) and two outside at the pickup window keeping the drive-thru moving quickly. I was really impressed. Try it, you’ll love it too!
August 3, 2023 I returned to Dairi O for lunch today and ordered a Hot Dog on a toasted roll and of course it is made to order with my “fixins.” I also ordered a Hot Fudge Cake Sundae swapping the ice cream to Muddy Boots. All was delicious. I’m headed from the Winston-Salem, NC area in the morning. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant if you are in this area. I will watch for this chain in my travels as there are none that I am aware in states farther north where I reside.
