Guy that owns this plays seriously needs to learn some some customer service skills. Several times I’ve visited now and he’s always been as miserable as hell. Today will be my last ever visit nearly a 30 minuet wait for a small portion of chips and not even an apology just a missable face. Avoid , avoid , avoid!

Can’t really rate the food, as we didn’t eat here.
Went to order, for a birthday dinner. It was half an hour before closing, but still plenty of customers around.
Ordered a family pack, and asked if we could have one piece of fish grilled. I would normally expect to pay extra, or be told no, and am fine with that.
However, the owner was exceptionally condescending and sarcastic in his response. Initially told me I’d have to pay more, and when he could see that didn’t bother me, started gesturing and going on about only if I would clean all the grills and equipment, and they close in half an hour so why would I order that now? I was taken aback, but he kept going. I calmly said “you don’t need to be rude about it”, and walked away.
A simple “sorry, the grills closed for the night”, or a “we can’t do substitutions” would have sufficed. I’ve had those responses before elsewhere – the message isn’t the problem, the delivery is.
How this place has any customers, given I’m not the only one who has found the owner quite rude, is surprising!
All turned out well though – we headed down to Cicarello’s instead, and had some of the best fish and chips I’ve had in years! So he ended up doing us a favour.

AMAZING GLUTEN FREE (COELIAC FRIENDLY) OPTIONS! We were cautious with the mixed reviews but couldn’t fault a thing when we visited today. My Auntie is severely Coeliac and was delighted to have the option of battered fish, chips, GF tartare and GF chicken salt! Usually she is left with grilled fish and salad as an option but not here. Also had the option of the following in their GF batter; onion rings, squid rings, prawns and pineapple. The gentleman serving was also very friendly and helpful. Big portions and their normal fish and chips were fantastic too. Also super affordable, $13.50 for fish and a serve of chips!

The potion sizes of the food were great too.
Husband had the non gf fish which was also delicious.
Wait was a little bit, but that is because I assume the gf fish are prepared in a separate frier and was worth it.

One of the best fish n chip I ever had! The grilled fish with lemon and pepper was juicy and testy, the chips were crunchy. I was amazed by the juicy scallops. Not a fan of fried pineapple. It’s so worth it $25 share box for two!

This was my first visit in two years, since then they have relocated.
To be honest for $13.50 it appears ok value, the fish was very oily and whilst the chips were crunchy not very fluffy on the inside.
I went on a Friday lunch time and there was eating outside but the foreshore has plenty of grassed areas and benches to sit and eat.

INSANELY good options for those on a strict gluten free diet. As a Coeliac, it is ridiculously hard for me to eat out and get takeaway as everything has to contain gluten, but Jetty Fish N Burgers had a really good GLUTEN FREE battered fish and chips. If you’re coeliac, you KNOW how hard it is to get something like that these days. It was wonderful being catered to. After all, not my fault I have an auto immune disease 🙁 Then I also got a chocolate icecream (which by the way they had like 10 different flavors and ALL of them were gluten free!) and my ice cream had FUDGE PIECES. I REPEAT. FUDGE PIECES. It was so good I’m considering being religious because oh my god i was in heaven. wow. 10/10.

Ordered the platter for 2 plus extra whiting. Excellent portion size and great taste. 2 adults, 5yr old and 2yr old and couldnt finish it all.
I like the cake box style takeaway packaging. Perfect for windy days.

Asked for a single scoop of ice-cream for my son and was refused. Was told “I have no time, look at all the people behind you”…. There was about 4 groups (2-4 people) waiting behind me. The kind man behind me tried to order the scoop for me with his order and was also refused! Only then to witness a group of 4 further along in the line get served ice-creams after I was refused. I will not be returning. Absolute rubbish service. Merry Christmas
