Very ‘Midwest old bar’ , loved the inside, bartender was very nice, beer barley soup was very good
Update: came back the next day for early dinner and got a burger and corn fritters. Very good, different bartender and she was also great
3 piece cod was nice and crispy, not a fan of the coleslaw or tarter sauce. Clam chowder was good especially if you don’t like seafood- wasn’t fishy at all

I felt very sorry for the young lady waiting on tables. She said it was her first day. My order came out wrong, despite giving explicit instructions that I saw her put in on the order. They did remake the burger, but then they rushed the fries which were very tough. They have cheap knockoff brand ketchup. The music was too loud for a lunch, making it difficult to talk across the table. Worst of all they serve pepsi products. There was some sort of issue with one of the gambling machines and the server said the manager was coming in to look at it. With a new server working her first day, I’m surprised the manager wasn’t already there. Between the apparent disorganization with staff, serving low cost products and serving the worst of all drinks, pepsi, I will not be coming back.

Stopped in while in town visiting some old college friends. Bartenders were welcoming and offered me both a bartop and table. I sat up at the bar with some regulars who were welcoming and we watched some games. Great atmosphere. Even for someone from out of town they had me pulling for the Packers.
Cheap beer and a large selection of liquor. Ordered the 12 pc wings — absolutely incredible. Tried both the Nashville hot and garlic stinging honey; it was the perfect combination of sweet and spicy. The bartender let me know that they’re rolling out Wing Wednesday which is an absolute steal at $1/each. Will definitely be making my way back when I’m in Wisconsin.

Was in the area from out of town and this place is exactly what I was looking. The staff was very friendly and the food was fantastic. If you are looking for a traditional Wisconsin fish fry, you have to try this place. The beer battered cod was amazing! I wish I had a place like this where I live and will definitely be back next time I am in the area

1st time visiting. Met up with an old friend here at the “half way” mark. Bartender was pleasant and friendly. Well lit inside and clean, including the restroom. Large selection of liquors. Pool tables. Locals were watching the game on TV. Ordered chicken wings with a variety of dipping sauces. Cooked perfectly and quite delicious. Will definitely go back.

Unfortunately, the bartender working during my visit had some trouble keeping up with an average crowd. I asked to play the “shake of the day”, but the bartender said that it was too crowded. (There were only 10 people at the bar, who were already served at the time.) Worse was watching the bartender continually dip used drink glasses into the ice bin. (I stuck with tap beer bcuz of this. Who wants glass chips in their drinks?)

Our waitress was engaging and made our drinks and meal time enjoyable. The drinks were tasty and the burger I chose was delicious, my husband had a wrap and he also really liked it. If we lived in the area I’m sure we would frequent often!

I come here for lunch every now and then. Nice local atmosphere, food is great, and the staff is always friendly. My only issue that I’ve had here is the smash burger. Don’t get me wrong it’s delicious but when I hear smash burger I think thin and crispy with cheese. What I got was a very pleasant double burger. Still tasty but not what I was expecting. Other than that this is a great place to stop for a delicious lunch and nice conversation with the staff.
