Had high expectations for this place. Well decorated and extremely friendly and excellent service. The presentation of the food was also excellent, but I came to eat not just take a picture, for mexican food there was no real flavor to the food which resulted in it being very disappointed especially for the price. Had chicken, shrimp, octopus, ceviche all lacking flavor. The only item which was descent was the fish. Honestly would have better tasting food at a chipotle. Lastly we had dinner on the outside and had a bug issue as others mentioned.

Stopped here today for lunch. The food taste authentic it was amazingly tasty!! I wish I got more pictures of the food, but every dish we ordered the flavor was great!! Service was excellent we didn’t wait long for the food and place was very nice ! I cannot wait to return the salad , fish , the tortilla soap omg !

La Doña Restaurant absolutely exceeded my expectations. The food was outstanding. The grilled octopus was incredibly fresh with a delicious, perfectly balanced flavor. And the lobster taco… truly one of a kind. I haven’t tried anything like it anywhere else!!
On top of that, Hugo’s service was impeccable: attentive, professional, and always on point.
Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to, and one I highly recommend!!

I want to start by saying….Thank you for bringing quality to the Sawgrass Mills Mall. Your decor, your staff and your dishes/drinks presentation exceeded my expectations. I was extremely pleased with your service, attention to detail and of course the food. Everything was soooo yummy. I have been there 4x already. With every visit… I leave satisfied. Your Reposado Margarita is the best I’ve had and I’ve had plenty. I wish you much success. You’re not a basic restaurant. You’re chic and more upscale than other restaurants around.

Great restaurant!! The food is really amazing. The service is outstanding. Our server was Dayana. What an amazing lady who knows her job. She prepared a delicious guacamole in front of us. We ate the luch menu, which is a delicious and very reasonable price for the quality of the food. This restaurant has two chefs, one Mexican and one French, and Dayana told us it is a fusion between both cuisines. This restaurant does not charge you an abusive tip. They just ask you for 7%, 5% and 2%.You won’t regret it. 200 % recommended it.

“La Doña by Chef James truly exceeds expectations with its culinary delights. The dishes, apart from being exceptionally delicious, are a feast for the eyes with their spectacular presentations. Prices are surprisingly affordable, considering the high quality of the meals. The cocktails, especially the margaritas, are simply incredible – arguably the best in town. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates great Mexican cuisine.

La Doña Mexican Seafood & Grille located in Sunrise, FL within Sawgrass Mills Mall gives you a modern twist to Mexican cuisine!
To start off, we decided to check out the Jamaica-Naranja Mocktail that consisted of refreshing Hibiscus Flower Tea infused with agave, orange juice, and a Tajin rim. To our surprise, the mocktail was subtle and very refreshing!
For appetizer, we decided to share the Shrimp Ceviche made with Clamato based salsa, lime, avocado, and cilantro. This dish was freshly made, and the quantity was perfect to share between two people.
For the main entree, we decided to try the Lobster Taco. Although very tasty, it was presented more as a Lobster wrap. It was very cheesy and I wished I could taste more the lobster.
To end the night, we decided to try the Churros De La Doña dessert with a unique presentation that consisted of the churros hanging on an umbrella. The dessert provided multiple toppings like Dulce de Leche, Chocolate Fudge, Sprinkles, and more!
Overall, @ladonarestaurants (IG) provided a relaxing lively environment with outdoor and indoor seating. The customer service was excellent and I would recommend for a nice outing with friends or after a shopping day ️

This restaurant is located in Sawgrass Mall. Neuatiful.location playing Mexican Music. Staff was extremely well dressed and trained.. This is more of a high end priced on menu. Margaritas were good. The Guacamole was made fresh and a twist of cheese. But what blew me away was the fresh made Picante that they made in front of me, that was fantastic. Daughter had the Lobster , which was more of a burrito that she said was fantastic. Other daughter had the tacos that were on a lettuce wrap and a form of root, that was also really good she said. My wife and myself shared the Mexican seafood rice that was also very unique in flavors and good. Definitely flavors ate different than other Mexican seafood restaurants. Definitely worth going, especially with the nice westher we have now.
