We had Chicken Annie’s Girard help with our catering for our son’s wedding in Chanute. They were exceptionally easy to work with, delivering the food, at the precise time needed. Hot and fresh. Caroline was friendly and very accommodating to our needs. Seems like it’s just a good old family business selling a quality product with exceptional service. It would be a wonderful world again if a few more companies operated with this kind of customer service! Highly pleased.

Chicken Annie’s came highly recommended by many locals. We had tried one of the other local favorites the night before and unfortunately felt a little let down by Annie.
We tried the livers, gizzards, and hearts appetizer, and while everything was super hot and fresh, it felt very underseasoned or not seasoned at all.
The onion rings were really pretty decent. They were thick cut onions that were perfectly cooked, so the onion still had a bit of “crunch” to it. But they were a bit greasy.
We both had dark meat chicken and two sides. The chicken was absolutely perfect and so full of flavor. One of us had the German potato salad and baked beans. German potato salad, not our cup of tea. I’m not saying it wasn’t good. Lots of people were enjoying it… I think we just don’t like German potato salad . The baked beans were thick and packed full of bbq flavor. They were good.
The other two sides were green beans and spaghetti. Green beans were cooked perfectly, not too mushy, but they also seemed to be completely unseasonably, so I was a bit disappointed. The spaghetti, I was not a fan of at all. Noodles were way past aldente, and the sauce kind of had that tin can taste to it, so again, after all the hype, I was a bit let down.
We did have strawberry rhubarb pie that was the best I have had since my late grandma baked one.
The staff was super friendly, just not as attentive as I would have preferred, I had to ask to have my drink refilled.
Highlight for me was the Chicken toy machine that still worked!

The first time, I enjoyed the taste of Annie’s Chicken yet not the last. So many great looking items will take a while to sample so will be a repeat.
After many visits I have yet to try the pie as the servings are definitely filling. They sell fresh baked bread to take home as well as a couple slices brought to your table no matter your order.

Everything is expensive these days… So I am sure raising their prices substantialy was necessary … Also they call chicken tenders with wing sauce. Boneless wings.. so be aware

We had heard rave reviews about this place; however, the fried chicken was flavorless! There was barely any meat on the chicken breasts we ordered, The Mac and cheese was dry. The baked beans were good, as well as the fried pickles. We would highly recommend you order a bottle of water rather than the water they serve because it had a chemical taste to us. We asked for lemon packs in an attempt to be able to drink the water and that too was flavorless. Their pricing was reasonable; however, as with any other service in this world “you get what you pay for” We will not return nor recommend this place to others.
