Decided to stop by this bagel spot with a friend to check it out. There was a bit of a wait, but they offered a nice selection of bagels and cream cheeses. The bagels were large and fresh. I ordered an everything bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. It came out hot, but the bacon was a little overcooked and tough. At $10, it felt a bit pricey for what it was. They do have indoor seating, which is a plus. Overall, the bagel was just okay not bad, but nothing that stood out.

Ordered a BEC on a plain bagel online. When I got there she said they ran out of plain bagels so put it on an egg bagel. They did try calling to be fair. When I told her we didn’t like egg bagels and if she could put it on an everything she said “We already put it on an egg bagel.” I said again “ We don’t like egg bagels please put it on an everything” she gave me such an attitude and was argumentative. She sent the bagel back into the kitchen in which a woman brought it out with a “look” like what we asked for was extraordinary. The customer service was so awful we didn’t even feel comfortable eating the 2nd bagel because of what they might have done to it in the kitchen. Also, the bagels are more like doughy rolls rather than crisp on the outside and soft on the inside like Bagel Nook. We will not be back.

I’ve been here a few times. I’ve had bagels from a lot of places but this one just hits different. I’m surprised this place hasn’t gone viral yet, possibly the best bagels in NJ. This chicken cutlets on plain bagel was out of this world. Clean place & friendly people.

Visited here again the following weekend and Im very happy to say it was just as good. The egg and cheese are gooey and they make the hash brown nice and crispy. The bagels are huge, soft, and they hold their shape.

So we kicked off our Pork Roll Tour 2025 here at Round Dough With a Hole. I ordered a PEC on a cheddar jalapeño bagel with pepper. The sandwich had good weight, super fresh ingredients, bagel was light and chewy (just as I like it). The porkroll was juicy but not as thick as I prefer. Scrambled egg instead of a fried egg and american cheese. Overall, this was a good “sangweech”, with a solid rating of 6.9.
This small business came recommended by many locals in the area. I can see why they like it. Altho it didnt make my top 5, I would certainly come back for another one or sample their other menu items. RUN DON’T WALK! These are the best bagels in New Jersey…and that’s saying something. The audible moaning from deliciousness that my partner and I experienced while eating the Taylor Ham, egg, and cheese sandwiches were almost ridiculous. We came here two days in a row and we’ll probably be back tomorrow.

After the recommendation from the Asbury Park Press, we decided to check this place out for breakfast. The bagels and bagel sandwiches did not disappoint. The bagels here are softer than average, but manage to balance the appropriate level of chewiness with any of the toughness you get sometimes. Pretty amazing. Looking forward to being back to pick up a dozen for the trip home.

I visited their Fort Monmouth location and loved it! The place is clean and welcoming. Their bagels are excellent, and the chicken salad is the best I’ve had. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of including chips and a small cookie with my lunch sandwich! Wishing them the best of luck at their new location at the RiverWalk Center in Oceanport!

We just bought a new home in Pt. Pleasant Beach and had a painting crew coming so wanted to get some local bagels and coffee for them. I’ve passed Round Dough With a Hole Bagels a few times on our way into town, so decided to try it. The bagels are probably the best we’ve ever had, the crew ate an entire dozen at once. They asked if I was going back there tomorrow to the same bagel place. Got another dozen today and added the lox spread which is delicious and getting more for Christmas morning!
