Newbie panda on the block!
I’ve been curious about the new restaurant in our area and was so happy to see that it finally opened. From what I’ve read, it’s under the same management group that runs some of our favorite spots like Kajiken and Urban Hot Pot to name a few.
Our neighborhood already has some of the best Asian restaurants in the area (in my opinion), and I must say this one can definitely go with the flow and compete with the restaurants beside it.
As curious Asian food lovers, we decided to try it on Lunar Chinese New Year—and the flavors and dishes did not disappoint!
Here’s what we ordered:
Truffle Wagyu Beef Dumplings – 9/10
Panda Signature Stickers – 7/10 (Flavor could be improved.)
Spicy Beef Noodle Soup – 10/10. Period.
Fried Pork Chop Noodle – Pork chop: 10/10. The noodles needed more flavor.

I’m not a food blogger—just sharing my personal opinion and how I experienced the food. Overall, the experience was very pleasant, and my husband says we’d definitely go back to try the other dishes.

We tried this place last week for dinner. It just opened. Very cute decor. Service was quick. We had the pork soup dumplings. They were a little thick but flavorful with a nice amount of meat. We had the spicy szechuan dan dan noodles. They were great, flavorful with a nice kick. The Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup was also good. Very tender and large chunks of beef. Will come back

My new favorite dumpling and Chinese restaurant!
All the food is delicious and cooked to perfection, not oily at all. The pan fried pork bun and scallion pancake are a must get. The restaurant itself has a great clean atmosphere and staff were friendly.

Can’t wait to come back and try their other dishes!

IPanda dumplings. Cute storefront. Same cozy interior. And this time, I decided to ignore the dumplings which seems almost criminal, instead opting for the spicy braised beef noodles

Note to self, great choice

The bowl lands in front of you like a dare. A deep, volcanic red broth shimmering with chili oil, perfumed with star anise and something dark and mysterious lurking beneath the surface. Leaning in, the aroma alone tells you this isn’t playing around.

First sip? Fire, but disciplined fire. Not the blunt force trauma of cheap heat, but a layered, slow building burn that wraps around your tongue and settles into your bones. Then comes the beef, braised to that miraculous state where chopsticks are almost too aggressive a tool. It collapses. It surrenders. It’s rich, gelatinous, unapologetically beefy.

The noodles have chew… real chew. They fight back just enough to remind you they were made by human hands that understand texture is half the story. Slurping is mandatory. Dignity is optional.

And somewhere in that broth, beneath the chili, beneath the aromatics, there’s depth. Time. Patience. The kind of cooking that doesn’t rush because it doesn’t have to.

Five out of five. A bowl that stains your lips red and leaves you sweating… and smiling, long after the last drop is gone.

Loved it

New cute dumpling spot with authentic flavors and very affordable prices. They offer dumplings, rice, and noodle dishes, and everything we tried was great. The pan-fried dumplings are crispy and juicy, and the spicy beef noodle soup is rich, comforting, and excellent. Definitely a go-to casual eat.

It’s more of a self-service restaurant. The food is authentic; I love the noodle soup and dumplings. They have a kid-friendly menu, and my child loves the spaghetti.

We went back a second time to sit down and eat after first grabbing some takeout dumplings, and the food was honestly excellent start to finish. The meat in the Spicy Beef soup was extremely tender and flavorful, bbq steamed pork buns were light in texture on the outside and super tasty on the inside. Also finished with the sesame balls and both me and my wife agreed they were among the best we had ever had. Anyway, seems like they totally nailed the texture and flavor of everything we tried. We’ll prob go back many more times.

I understand the restaurant just opened but I don’t plan on going back unless the food quality, price and experience gets better.
– I have mixed feelings about ordering from the touchscreen.
Like – each item had a visual picture
Dislike – there was no description of what is inside each dish (e.g., signature dumpling picture didn’t have any details on which protein or veggies were inside). Fortunately there was a host that said it’s pork and chives. Also note none of the kids items were not available.

– All the food items are overpriced. A dim sum 4 piece dumpling was $8, when these items are typically under $5 at any Chinese restaurant or dim sum place. The quality isn’t any better than other places either. It’s just steamed or fried and sub par in my opinion and I’ve been to many chinese restaurants in DMV.

– The Hawaiian fried rice had no description and only a picture. I had to ask the host what’s inside. I decided to order it even though it was $18!!! Thinking it’ll be great and unique with shrimp, pineapple and a few other ingredients. When I got the fried rice, it was served in a small container, bland and the shrimp was literally just boiled and thrown in without any flavor. I ended up throwing the dish away and vowing I would never order fried rice from this place again, especially paying double the price and getting much less portion size than any other Chinese place. The dumplings themselves were ok but way overpriced. The hot and sour soup was ok, pricey and served in a small container. I typically get double the amount for what I paid here.

– The only thing I really liked was the atomsphere. The place was new, clean, had nice decor including a big panda statue when you walk in and the layout was open.

Next time I’d rather go to a Chinese restaurant for better quality food and prices (half the cost). I can see why this place was literally empty during dinner time. There was only one table with customers and a few pick ups.
