We stopped in on our way back home from Bok Gardens. Pleasantly surprised at the size of diner. Food was delicious and plentiful. Service was fantastic. I was surprised at how detailed the servers clean each booth after diners leave. They clean all hanging decor and pulled seats out to clean behind seats as well. We will definitely return when we come back to the area.

Absolutely loved this country restaurant. The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, you can truly tell it’s made with care. What really stood out the most, though, was the staff, unbelievably friendly, welcoming, and genuine. It has that true small-town, hometown feel that’s hard to find these days, especially compared to the Tampa area. Great service, great food, and an overall warm, down-to-earth experience. Highly recommend stopping by if you appreciate quality food and people who actually care.

OMG! I absolutely LOVE the Krabby Cakes here – honestly, that’s my go-to. But from the Sampler Platter, I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes, fried claim strips, & the wings. That’s not to say the fried pickles, fried onion rings, & fried corn fritters aren’t good… they are just outshined by the others – hmm, it’s all so good! Also, if you’re a gator-lover (like me), you MUST try the Alligator Nuggets. They are so good, you don’t even need a dipping sauce! Finally, I must confess, I’m NOT a catfish lover… there are only a few places where I’d eat my Catfish & this is definitely on the list – kudos to you guys, that’s a hard list to get on, but you’re on it now…
One more thing – I absolutely LOVE the decor. It’s Southern Country style that just makes you feel like you’re at home. So clean & comfortable, I almost took a nap.
So if you’re in the mood for some Southern Comfort food, get yourself to Catfish Country Restaurant & treat yourself to some good eat’n!

Catfish Country Restaurant is one of the best places around for Southern-style comfort food. The catfish is the star — perfectly seasoned, fried just right, and served hot every single time. Their sides, especially the hush puppies and coleslaw, taste like real homemade cooking.
The service is warm and welcoming, and even when the place is busy, the staff stays attentive. The atmosphere feels cozy and local, like a classic Florida country restaurant. Good portions, fair prices, and consistently delicious meals. If you’re craving fresh catfish or classic Southern dishes, this is the spot!

What a special place! Proud displays of old newspaper reviews are on the wall and you can feel why it’s such a treasured restaurant. Our server, Amanda was so kind and walked us through the menu. The catfish was delicious as well as the enormous grouper sandwich! The green beans were smokey and full of bacon flavor. Everything hit the spot and it’s now added to our “must go again” list!

This was our first time there, virgins as our outstanding waitress Emily said. We had fried green tomatoes for our appetizer. Wife had chicken tenders and they where almost the size of breasts, while I chose the 4pc catfish. We both ordered the side cheese grits but you get a bowl coleslaw and biscuits w/cinnamon butter. Food was amazing and we will be back. If you stop by make sure you ask for Emily and enjoy.

Always love coming here. We drive an hour to eat here. Sunday we had a big group. 12 of us. We called ahead and they were able to accommodate us. Their seafood Trio is my go-too. But their biscuits are the star. (And I don’t normally even like biscuits). Love them with butter and honey. And their fried clams and green beans…mm mmm.
Our server knocked it out of the park. She was fun and extremely focussed. Love the little market next door. Oh…and the endless coleslaw is delicious. And we always ask for the green onions and a side of ranch. (They’ll know what ya mean).
