Last year, we held our wedding reception here, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The ocean view paired with the simple, beautifully arranged long table created such a private, elegant, and intimate atmosphere for our celebration. It was exactly the setting we had envisioned for such a special day.

A huge thank you to Michelle and Chanel for their outstanding communication, professionalism, and genuine care throughout the entire planning process. They were incredibly responsive, patient, and supportive, and made everything feel seamless from start to finish. Their attention to detail and willingness to help truly took the stress out of planning and allowed us to fully enjoy our celebration.

The entire team helped create a memorable and meaningful experience for us and our guests. We are so grateful for the wonderful service, beautiful setting, and the care that went into making our wedding reception so special. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a stunning ocean view, an elegant atmosphere, and a team that truly goes above and beyond.

Really amazing location with great patio and views of the water. We were able to make a last minute reeervation and got a great table overlooking the water. The food was great and the drinks were so good! The staff were so sweet also! We had a wonderful time and will definitely return.

Beautiful food, beautiful atmosphere. Sat in the outdoor area where it was surprisingly toasty warm despite being right on the water in December. We had a delicious meal of grilled octopus, ketch-ale brined chop and the lobster tempura tacos. Forgot to take photos of our main course because we were having such a nice time. The octopus sat on a bed of greens and various legumes which were super flavorful especially with the creamy sauce. The pork chop was tender and seasoned well. The lobster tempura tacos were such a treat and felt indulgent while also fresh and balanced. They came with a side of steamed green beans/carrots AND garlic Parmesan French fries. Yum. When our waitress found out we were celebrating a birthday, she brought over a complimentary (huge) slice of mud pie which was so sweet. It was a little tricky to find parking here (on a Thursday at 7:00pm), but we found a nearby parking garage for $10/3 hours and only had to walk a short distance to the restaurant. Not bad! I recommend making a reservation in advance since this is one of the more popular restaurants on the Waterfront. We had a really great experience!

Brigantine Seafood in San Diego is the definition of getting it right. From the moment I sat down, the vibe was dialed — polished, coastal, and professional without trying too hard. The service was locked in and knew their menu like pros.

I kicked things off with the crab and shrimp fondue, and let me tell you, that appetizer alone could be a headliner. Rich, fresh, and ridiculously addictive — easily one of the best starts to a meal I’ve had in a long time.

For the main course, I went with the lobster tempura tacos and their signature grilled marinated swordfish. Both were absolute standouts. The tacos hit with that perfect crunch-to-tender ratio, and the swordfish? Cooked to perfection. Tender, flavorful, and exactly why Brigantine has a reputation for seafood done right.

Consistency is what separates good restaurants from great ones — and Brigantine shows up with their A-game across the board. Food, timing, service, cocktails — everything is tight.

If you want a place that respects your time, your money, and your taste buds, this is it. Five stars without hesitation.

After a long day, I stopped in and ordered a Jameson on the rocks, and it was exactly what I needed—perfectly poured and incredibly smooth. I followed it with oysters on the half shell, which were fresh, satisfying, and definitely hit the spot.

For my main bites, I tried the lobster tempura tacos along with a side of green beans and truffle fries. The tacos looked promising but didn’t deliver much flavor, and the green beans were pretty bland. The truffle fries, though, were the standout—crispy, aromatic, and absolutely delicious.

Overall, a mixed experience, but the drink, oysters, and truffle fries made the visit worthwhile.

Visited twice in the week we were here. Once for lunch, once for dinner. Service was excellent and food was fresh and delicious. The cold seafood platter was a touch pricey but worth it for the quality. Oysters exceptional (had them twice) and the crab stuffed prawn – divine! Lobster tail, buttery and fish and chips, crispy and flavorful. Can’t wait to go back one day.

After a long day of traveling we happened upon this spot for dinner. The food, drinks and dessert were fabulous. We even came back the next night for dinner also. We had the Swordfish, Halibut, Filet Mignon and S’mores Brownie. The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxing!

I was sat and forgotten. I asked for water about 15 minutes after being sat. I ended up taking an entire meeting during my lunch because of the slow service. Once I placed my order, the food was fast, not great though. My oysters weren’t cleaned from the shell in order to slide out and the crab cake lacked any felling of crab. Very fine chop and not worth the price tag. The best thing I had was the House salad
